I hadn't seen anything all evening till this little fella came along about 7:10. 15yd shot quartering toward me and facing slightly down hill. So I put the shot just behind his shoulder and a little high to account for the angle. The exit was right in front of the last rib towards the bottom. I hate when they double back onto their blood trail. I probably walked within 20yds of him a few times.

Went out last night to try a new spot out, I saw 2 big bodies far out but couldn't see their heads. Passed on a spike at 20 yards, just watched him eat for about an hour hoping something would come in behind him but nada. Oh well, at least I know my new hole has deer!

Really, really nice deer. King of the Forest! Congratulations! Are you going to mount him?

I was just going to get the skull cap but I let someone talk me into getting a euro. I have one P&Y hanging on the wall so if anything is getting mounted it needs to beat that.

You have a pope mounted on the wall? That's bad enough but you got a young one too. :innocent0

    Nice buck, Temp.

Been meaning to buy a Bambi sled for a number of years now.

Or train them to jump in the truck before I shoot them. Maybe a pile of corn in the bed.

Well I punched my ticket tonight. Saw the same old fawns and button buck then this guy rolled in. Wasn't on any trail cams before.
