OK all you sonsabitches with your fancy pants 10/22's... it's all your fault ! Been itching for something new. Thanks to all you guys making me drool, I now have a KIDD single stage trigger group on order as the first part. No clue where I am going with it yet (actually, a picture is forming in my head), but hopefully it'll be worthy when it's done. Will probably take me a while to accumulate what I need as spare cash is available. In the meantime I will just keep enjoying all the pictures here. I used Volquartsen parts in my 10/22 takedown, this one will be mostly KIDD parts as much as I can I think with some kind of target stock. Objective is a tack driver range gun for plinking.

Speaking of Fancy Pants; every time I go to the Nations Gun show someone always has cool tricked out 10/22's with Kidd receiver and barrel. Not cheap but top shelf.

That being said, I have a cheap ass 10/22 with a 4X Burris [EDIT actually a Bushnell 4X32] scope and some third party trigger from Brownells and it shoots very acceptable groups at 100 yards. [EDIT and a picatinny rail add-on].

I have most of the part's now just waiting the mandatory 10 day wait on the receiver since it can be used as a handgun I must wait.

so I am currently waiting on my KIDD receiver to ship to Bollingers. Are you telling me it will be treated like a regulated purchase ?!?!?!? I never even gave that a thought...

If you have your HQL you can get it registered to you as a hand gun as I did,but I was told that the 10 day wait is mandatory since it can used as a rifle or handgun. If you do not have your HQL you will only be able to use it as a rifle if that makes sense.Since I registered it as a hand gun I can go either way. That what my FFL dealer said

My very old, slightly customized 10/22; 10/22 WMR Magnum Research; and Charger: I have two others, but no pics on my Kindle yet: 1 is a Slide Fire stocked unit, which I am still learning to shoot; the other is actually a build I helped my grandson do.

Brought this back from Gettysburg. Nice little gun, I could have built one but the price is fair ($320) the sights are nice. Only gripe is the wood isn't near as good as the Ruger propaganda and of the three I was able to pick from I rejected one for a hairline crack, another for having a cleaning kit cut-out that looked like it was done by a beaver. This was the best of the lot. If you get one of these I really recommend you find one in person from what I saw.

    Well see how it shoots.

    Nice.

What do you think of the See-all sight? I keep seeing these and cannot quite make up my mind on them.

Got my stock back from Sonoran Gunstocks today. George milled the stock for the Kidd rear tang, bedded the front pillar and the action, floated the barrel and added 3 sling studs for me. I am very happy with his work.

It's kind of a 'standard' formula for one of these things I guess, but I think I am gonna love owning it.
    Yukon Extreme stock
    Leupold VX2 4-12 scope
    Harris bipod
Everything else is from Kidd, nothing came from Ruger on this one.
    2.5# single stage trigger
    scalloped bolt
    18" fluted bull barrel, etc.

I had it to the range before sending the stock to George and it was a great shooter then. I can't wait to get it back to the range and see how it does now.
    Hopefully tomorrow...

Well I have mine mostly complete now.

    Magpul Black Hunter X-22 stock
16.5 KIDD Ultra Light Fluted Bull Barrel with Muzzle Break
    Ruger Receiver
    Ruger BX Trigger
KIDD - Mag Release, Bolt Release, Bolt Buffer, Bolt Charging Handle Assembly, Bolt

The Barrel was a really tight fit and everything looks to be aligned well.
