Incidentally, these MMC guys really did get the barrel contract, and produced them for about $115 a piece for the US military. $189 is not a bad price for an individual barrel. Supposedly pretty good shooters, too.

I'm skeptical about these. If anyone wants to send me a few I can do a video physical on them.

The solicitation should be available online and I would assume they have the specs stated in the SOW/PWS. Would be interesting to see how these barrels line up to those specs.

I swapped a PSA Hbar to a SOCOM and while ago and it was worth every penny for the ergonomics alone. Hard part was finding a value priced extended flash hider for it to get to the 16.1" length.

I was lucky to have Found a Voodoo Tactical slim fit (That way you can swap out gas blocks after pin weld if you want) extended A2 Flash Hider for $22 Couple of months ago

Hard to say no to these, especially because I couldn't get a Remington Defense SOCOM barrel because of CDNN's nonsense policies.

Don't you love it when CDNN tells you what the laws are in your state? :P Same with CheaperThanDirt, and a few others.

Centerfire Systems as well, they have a blanket no gun parts policy to Maryland. Which sucks, because they've had some cool parts kits.

Hard pass... "Designed to Exact Military Specifications"

Is not "Produced to Exact Military Specifications"

    Let alone, whose spec ?

I could be completely wrong.. but that verbiage sounds fishy.

They had a military contract recently that these could have been associated with. It is possible that the final specs are redacted in the actual contract if it is made available to the public. In fact, some agencies are not required to make contracts public due to security concerns.

I'll bet that based on the type of contract they were awarded that these are legit.

Here is who the CAGE code is issued to...

MMC Armory is a division of Mennie Machine Company in Mark, Illinois

    Their webpage isn't working fully.

    Just sounds dubious to me.

We know that. They are a legit government contractor. You can look up what they have done. The basic info is available to the public.

Meh, "Milspec" is middle of the road in the grand scheme of things. When I buy milspec parts, I expect them to be consistent and sturdy(11B proof). That's about all you can expect.

I would not expect these barrels to be right up there with their Colt/BCM counterparts. If they turn out to be that good, then good on you. :)
