    Now a question:
let's say you bench rest a .22 pistol..any pistol....and you get it sighted to produce targets as above(or better)....at 25 YARDS....

The you move the target to 50 YARDS.....how much, if any will the bullet drop?? if at all.
No changes to the Bench rested pistol, other than proper sight picture( that is no sight adjustments on the pistol) and using the same ammo.....

I typically shoot at both 25 and 50 yards (Bullseye) using a [Texas] High Standard Victor and Ultradot with Aquilla SV ammo.

I don't change the sights at all.

in fact, regardless of the ammo I use, I don't change the sights. I think if you look at the ballistics curve for most .22 LR ammo, you'll see the bullet climbing at 25 yards and dropping at 50 yards, with the apogee about 38-40 yards.

    hth,
    Rob

Here are my 10-22 and 22a with the 7" barrel and pistol scope. I also have the 5" barrel and a red dot to cover most every rimfire pistol class.

My current 22LR firearms in posession. I had more in the past, but unfortunately, I ran into some tough time and had to get rid of them all. The most regretable ones are the AT-22 rifle from Feather Industries and Ruger Super Single Six 9.5" barrel with 2X scope.

I scoped the J.C. Higgins Model 43 the other night. I still need to zero it, but I need a range that's long enough. Scope is a Tasco 3-9x50mm from WalMart.

Total, I paid about $150 for the whole thing.

The TacSol barrel is much lighter than the stock barrel. The entire gun now weighs as much as the old barrel itself. High quality and good accuracy too considering it is a 4" barrel.
