    Not completely true.

.223/5.56 mags will work with a few diff't calibers - to an extent. Some will just reduce the total capacity of the magazine due to the larger round, others should be used with a dedicated magazine in that caliber.

Example, .223/5.56 magazines will work with 300BLK, no loss of capacity. No issue with feeding, for the most part - can vary by magazine type.

6.8SPC should use dedicated 6.8 mags.

    7.62x39 uses a dedicated mag.
Learn something new everyday. Thanks for the schooling.

Just so I don't make a fool out of myself again, what other calibers? You said a few. Thanks in advance...

IIRC, you CAN use 6.8 in 5.56 mags, but it's not ideal. Reduced capacity, potential for feed issues.

Believe (not 100% sure) you can run 6.5 Grendel thru standard 5.56/.223 mags as well. Not as familiar with that one.

.450 Bushmaster CAN be run thru an unmodified .223 mag, but ideally it has the specific follower installed.

.458 Socom can be run thru a stock .223 mag.

    .50 Beowulf, 7.62x39 - dedicated mags preferrably.

keep an eye on palmeto states website and order a blemished ar-15 lower for $99 and have it shipped to all pawn. all pawn is already on file with psa and its a very smooth transaction.

In my opinion get a ar-15 lower. parts are more common for the .223/5.56 ar 15 platform then the ar-10 .308 platform. Plus with the ar-15 platform you have the option of more calibers suchs as 9mm, 7.62x39, .204, .300blk, 6.8spc, .50 beowolf, etc.

I saw the blemished lowers were in stock 3 or 4 weeks back and didn't pull the trigger. I waited another week and then went for one of their regular PSA Lowers. It's already shipped and I'm just playing the MSP waiting game now...

Not sure if anyone mentioned this,
why not try to get a complete RRA LAR-47? AR platform that takes AK mags?

.... of course, current wait time on it is about a billion year.
