I've been lurking for a little while and am quite impressed with the site. I've already used it to find information on applying for Maryland Designated Collector status and my FFL03.
I've owned handguns for about 25 years but they've spent most of their time locked away for the last 15 or so. The kids' schedules and life in general seemed to preempt anytime for me. Recently, my daughter said she would like to try shooting. I figure going to a basic pistol class first will be a good father daughter opportunity.
It was also a good excuse to buy a new gun since the guns I already own aren't ideal novice guns. I'm waiting on a nickel Bersa Thunder 22. It should be in tomorrow and then I have the stupid mandatory wait. Unfortunately for my wallet, I'm feeling the need to buy a few more.
