Non-Member, pretty new to the area and live literally across the street from Sanner's. If any of you members go to the range during the workweek, I would love to tag along. Heck I would love to be a member.
Would love to see the rimfire pistol plate and the bowling pin. I love the "ping"...
Hello,
I actually just moved down to St Mary's in Nov 2010 from Rockville, MD. I just a few days ago heard there was a shooting range somewhere down Sanner's lane or something. I didn't even know there was a range down in St Mary's county. I live right off Great Mills.
I would love to visit...
I had the same questions
I went with buying an AR 15 and getting a conversion. The best conversion is the Spike's tactical because it has an O-ring that the others do not. The installation is easy, I believe they say it takes 10 secs to change from .223 to 22 LR bolt and Mag. When money...
I am looking to purchase my first AR15 and I plan to install free float rails on it. Do you know how much gunshops usually charge for this service? I looked into doing it myself, but I would need to buy some expensive equipment. If it is an expensive job, then I will look for guns with the...
Weapon in bedroom
Thanks for your help.
I guess how do you guys keep your guns? If it is a self-defense/home protection weapon, it has to be close by. Most people say the bedroom. I am not sure what is the best way to store a carbine in the bedroom and still have it quickly accessible if...
I am researching into using an AR 15 for home defense. I am curious as to how most people lock up their carbine in the bedroom. For handguns, you can find small lock boxes. But for rifles/shotguns, do people keep a heavy safe in the bedroom to lock up the self-defense carbine?
I am...
I went to the range again yesterday to practice my shooting. I used the combat hold or running of the dots and it went on target. I shot better this time around. But then again you can never tell since I can't hold the gun steady. Anyone know what it the manual says is the recommended way to...
My friend and I went to the range (Blue ridge arsenal) yesterday to shoot my new M&P 9 FS. We are both new to shooting and we were having lots of trouble getting the shots to hit close to center even at 5-7 yards. We figured out it was the way we were lining up our sights that was causing the...
Lots of shooting ranges/clubs
I never knew there were so many shooting clubs especially all the Izaak Walton Leagues all over the place. These places just do not show up when you go a google search.
New as well
I am new as well, and the information in this post about the different shooting ranges and leagues in the Germantown area are very helpful.
I currently live in VA, but will be moving to Maryland in about 6 months. I will most likely be moving to the Gaithersburg / Germantown...
Regulated?
What does regulated mean? What if I buy out of state and bring it in? If I buy in MD, then I have to get the 10 round mags. Any other information I should take into consideration?
Thanks for the quick responses guys.
My fiance works in Baltimore and I work in DC. MD doesn't seem all that bad. Are AR 15s legal to own in MD as well? Any special requirements?
