      Went out today only to find the lakes still froze over and the river with chunks of slushy ice floating in it.

      I've always had good luck in the lakes in columbia for panfish but I don't keep them. Sometimes in the summer I can catch 30-40 in one night with a fly tied on to a ultralight spinning rod.

      I too am planning on going after turkey's this spring I have no idea where though. I live in columbia and hunt in liberty reservoir. I have seen flocks of them there before but I imagine it will be hard to get them there since there are no open areas there.

      That's odd indeed. The little 4point i saw yesterday had them still. He ran off when I took the doe next to him. That almost looks like they broke off somehow. Very odd indeed.

      Couple years ago I downed what I thought was a doe, turned out to be a button buck. He was small and I was wishing I had not taken the shot. From then on I'm picky as to what animal I'm going to take. Nothing wrong with letting some walk.

      I'm torn between the 2 for my .300wsm. I've been reading reviews and it seems people have had issues with the vx1.       I have a model 70 in .300wsm with a bushnell elite 3200 3-9. I'm convinced the recoil from the rifle has messed up the scope somehow because it won't shoot tight groups.
