Looks great!
I have a question. If you use less then 16" barrel are you going to build it as a pistol or will seek to purchase the SBR stamp? I didn't follow the recent changes with ATF regarding the braces and now considering my new build using the 12.5" barrel in 6.8SPC II caliber.
I have a different experience. I was afraid the 350 legend upper for AR-15 will be unreliable. But it didn't happen. I built my new upper based on generic receiver and barrel from midwayusa (AR-STONER Barrel AR-15 350 Legend M4 Contour 1 in 16" Twist 16" Chrome Moly Phosphate).

The euro optic has Trijcon Huron 3-9x40 on sale. How this scope is comparable to Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40? Both have 1" tube.
I'm choosing the scope for bolt rifle.

Congrats to everybody!
I hunted the Patuxent park yesterday morning, shot and retrieved a medium size unicorn(!) buck. There were a lot of shots heard, more than usual.
For scanning I got Taipan TM10-256 couple month ago. It is quite decent and I'm happy with it. Had an opportunity to compare it to TM15-384 and decided the cheaper TM10-256 is satisfactory for me.
For shotgun/straight-wall counties I use AR-15 in .350 legend, factory ammo (Winchester) works pretty well. For other (normal) counties I use AR-15 in 6.8SPC with hand-loaded ammo (90gn Gold Dot). And for PA it is Rem700 in 30-06 (also hand-loaded).
All the shots are usually in 100 yds range, no...
Climber (Summit brand) stand on public land. On private there are couple ladder stands and a elelvated box blind (self-made). Oh, there is one tripod stand as well.
