they are just finger rests. where the pins meet the lower receiver is a lube point, keep it lubed and you're good to go.
also, with the tension on the pins, they do rotate. if they are coming out of the receiver, that would be more of a hammer spring issue, as the tongue on one side actually...
Keep it, paint it. Duracoat/Cerakote/Spraybomb, your choice. Also, HBAR = heavy barrel, not heavy battle
x2. I have a 20" del-ton upper I build. Very accurate for the cost. Found an ammo that the barrel likes, and I can hit 1.2-2moa consistently. I also have a Del-ton Dissipator upper. Awesome...
I wouldn't sell an LEO a mag over 10 rounds. What's in the law books is what I may be prosecuted for. No thanks.
The law doesn't say I can, so I can't.
No, it looks like the first link they do not offer the upper I have by its self anymore. This is what I had gotten:

Now as far as the article you posted, which is someones opinion mind you, you don't need all those things. On my current DMR...
I have two del-ton uppers. One is a 20" government profile, the other is a 16" dissipator. Very pleased with the 20 as a "dmr-like" upper. Found the flavor of ammo it likes and I have narrowed the grouping down to 2" @200yrds. They are cheaper, but I have had no problems with their products.
do both. That's what I am doing. Although the DMR is taking more of my attention. I have one of the delton uppers. No issues with reliability so far, but I heeded the advice of clandestine and drilled the gas port to .110". One issue I have is that the heavy profile is... it is so damn heavy lol...
You can thank me for that lol I was just going to buy the barrel, but then those dried up. It is probably the slowest thing I have ever ordered from midway. Probably has something to do with Black Friday.
I was on Del-Tons website the past couple days, they had dropped the dissy barrel assembly. Just letting y'all know they are probably discontinuing them. So I went ahead and ponied up to get the complete upper from them, before it goes the way of the dodo.
I would think that reliability is more important in 3 gun than weight?
*Edit- I don't want you to think that I am being a smart ass. I was looking into doing 3 gun and everything I read and watched preached reliability. They could be wrong, who knows lol
I have no idea what you are saying. If you are saying that no one deactivated the rifle in combat, I do not think you understand what aquaman is saying.
where did you get this info? I'm curious.
Please use multiquote... please.
I want to make my 20" into a dissy so badly... I plan on just buying the dissy barrel from del-ton. I was going to go to the local gunsmith, but for more money and 2-3 more months wait, I don't want to wait.
I have a few questions for clandestine if he would indulge me lol
