The SKS is a good rifle but not as good as the vz. I have both; I've put thousands of rounds through each. I consider them equally reliable, but the vz is lighter, shorter, more accurate, for me has better ergonomics, and with a good muzzle brake is pleasant to shoot. Plus the 30 round mags...
I had the same malfunction with my vz2008 with the first shot from a full mag. The rifle had had a few thousand rounds through it at that time, and another couple thousand since. It's the only failure I've ever had with it.
I don't recall the brand of ammo, but do remember that I had topped...
Smooth, easy transaction on Remington Model 11
The buyer was flexible and easy to deal with. There was good communication throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitiate to do business with him again.
I'm game & in to win! Thanks for the opportunity. To comply with the instructions in your 1st post,
"you're in to win. Will close it in a few days and choose a random winner.
THANKS everyone!!! " :)
5 round mags available again from this vendor, $22 + $6.50 shipping. I bought one when they had them in stock a year or 2 ago. It's well made, looks good, and has not given me any trouble. As I recall the shipping time was reasonable considering they ship from the Czech Republic...
For a lower-end budget, used 870s like the ones Shooter's Discount is selling are a good choice. For even less money, (around $200 or less) you can get a new Pardner Pump/NEF/IAC Hawk. They are very solid, tough copies of the 870 with a few differences, the main one being the barrel lug is...
I know the mag spring issue is getting off topic, but consider that the springs have a fair degree of compression even in an unloaded magazine. So should we disassemble magazines before storing? :sarcasm:
You know, something the size of an arrow (instead of a pellet) may be big enough to hold its own charge of compressed gas. It would essentially be a rocket. The rifle itself could then be much simpler and lighter though of course the arrows would be much more expensive.
Maybe I ought to...
That's neat! but the need for a blank cartridge would probably get it classified as a firearm in most states.
It's an interesting question. What defines the weapon; the projectile or the means of propulsion? Imagine something like the Ruger conversion but for a black powder rifle instead. I...
Further down the article mentions that the Delaware Capitol Police are actually responsible for security there. Some other Delaware jurisdictions already have unarmed bailiffs and use police or other armed officers for security.
Seems to me that training and maybe proficiency testing would be...
What rseymorejr said. Did BGE tell your friend that the tiles needed to be removed, or did they just let her know that they were asbestos. Just having asbestos tiles is not necessarily a hazard. It only becomes dangerous when "friable" (term used by EPA and the industry) meaning it is crumbling...
