Pros and Cons of living in PA?

The tax argument depends on your income. For my situation, the lower state income tax offset the increased property/school tax entirely - negligible change in my total tax payments. Factor in the fact that my builder was selling identical houses (on a smaller lot) in Edgewood, MD for $70k more...

      Lee Precision upgrade

If you're using the auto disk measure, look into the pro upgrade kit. Especially if you have a problem with powder leaks.

Review of the Little Crow Case Trimmer

Any idea how that compares to the possum hollow trimmer? Looks like the same concept but the PH is considerably cheaper (last time I checked).

      6.8 SPC?

Figure out exactly what the chamber is. There are a lot of different flavors of 6.8, and apparently the SAAMI dimensions are less than ideal.

Reloading 9mm. Please critique my shopping list.

Think of reloading 9mm as a "gateway" cartridge. Great way to start a new hobby because the components are all cheap and (usually) readily available. I've loaded about 500 rounds so far, at $0.13/ea, for a total of $65. How close can you come to that with factory ammo? :-) At the moment I've...

Reloading 9mm. Please critique my shopping list.

That powder measure comes with the kit you linked, but I'd suggest you get the auto disk pro upgrade kit. Check out prices at https://fsreloading.com, good prices on Lee stuff.

      Reloading Books

ABC's of Reloading Lyman 49th Hornady 9th Nosler #7 Each has strengths and weaknesses. ABC's has good general info. Lyman has a great amount of cast bullet data, plus good general info. Hornady and Nosler are great if you use their bullets (I do). I've got the Hodgdon 2013 manual too...

      PSA Lowers in stock

It took me a month to get mine, but that was ordered in late Nov, before Sandy hook (delivery was just before Christmas). I'd be surprised if things have improved since then.

Cannon Safe from Costco - Review and questions

Location can help improve security considerably. The only way a burglar would be able to swing an axe at my safe is if he first chopped through a wall. Not tough, but does add to the time requirement.

      Safe "must have" Accessories

I got one of these a year or two ago. My delivery guy took it off the truck and rolled it into my garage for me - only about 100' and perfectly level, but still was nice. Mine has a multi-outlet panel inside, I think 4 plugs total. Also has one or two USB ports for remote data storage. Rope...

SB0281 - Firearm Safety Act of 2013 (aka, AWB)

Several of you are complaining about those of us asking for others' opinions on clarification of the law with the assumption that if it won't affect us, we don't care. Consider the other side. An educated opposition is stronger than an emotional opposition. I feel specific, personal examples of...

SB0281 - Firearm Safety Act of 2013 (aka, AWB)

Safe to assume there won't be a handgun in stock anywhere in MD for the next 8 months. I'm curious how stripped lowers will be dealt with, almost sounds like they'll have to be complete guns but doesn't write say that. And what components can be changed legally? Swapping an MOE for an ACS...

SB0281 - Firearm Safety Act of 2013 (aka, AWB)

If I read this right, handguns currently in your possession would not need to be registered and the handgun permit would only be necessary for new purchases, essentially grandfathering all current handgun owners. Is that right?

      O'Malley Press conference 1/18/13 @ 0930 - gun control

There're half a dozen building lots in my neighborhood in Delta, PA, only a mile from Harford County. Just saying. :-)
