      Try Don Stoops at Sharpsburg Arsenal on Main Street in Sharpsburg. It's a quite extensive Civil War shop and he should be able to help you out. (717) 762-1622 You'll also be a mile or so from Antietam NBP HQS so a ranger may be willing to help too.

      Frustration Ammo Shipping!

      AIM won't ship ammo despite my repeated requests that they research the current case law here in MD. SOG, J&G, Classic, Cabela's, and several others have no problem with sending ammo to MoCo. AIM will ship C&R handguns here but don't try to figure out the logic behind that policy.

      If you plan on buying more than one milsurp go the C&R route. A lot cheaper even in the short-term and you have a nationwide selection to pick from.

      Shooting Ultramax .223 Reloads, what would you do

      Ultramax is what Cabela's sends out when you order their bulk .223 ammo. It's good enough for plinking, probably a step above Wolf or Silver Bear because you can save the brass.

      My procedure after working on three of them: Stock goes in the dishwasher (on Pot Scrubber cycle with LOTS of detergent) to clean off the cosmo you can't wipe off.
