Temp Outage - Software Maintenance

I just encountered another problem with logging in. Left MDS up while I went and did a few things, came back, hit "new posts" and noticed that I had to log in again (thats what I figured) I type in my password and username, click log in, and guess what? It would not log me in. I tried logging in from the area on the top right and the center of the homepage, none of which would let me log in. That little screen popped up that says "Thank you for logging in Redneck", but when that went away I was not logged in. I refreshed, tried again, and nothing. I finally closed out, reopened firefox, and managed to log in.

Same here.

Last night when I got home I wondered why I had to log back in, but after I read this thread I understood. 100% solid using Vista and FF.

Alright, this is pissing me off. I cannot reproduce it, no matter where or what I try. If this was a server issue I would think that it would be more widespread, but it appears to be very limited. I'm hoping that someone who is a computer guru has this problem that can help me troubleshoot, because unless I can reproduce the issue, I can't effectively troubleshoot.

Well it seems to be a firefox issue because IE8 once logged in even if i close the browser i am still logged in but not on firefox.

I'm using IE8 and I have to re-log in every time I close the window now.

I had to sign in a few times yesterday morning, but since then, no problems on either my laptop or my home desktop. Both are Macs, running Safari..

I had this happen once, and it was a day or two ago. Didn't pay it any heed until I read this. Haven't had an issue since I re logged on, but I'll pay more attention.
