So has this passed both houses at this point? If it has, have we had a 2A lawyer analyze it to layout the pitfalls we need to avoid in order to not accidentally become a felon.
Long passed but awaiting a signature from Governor Chromedome

MSI has put out a guide of the changes on their website

None of the potential penalties under the bill are felonious

Unless it's emergency legislation all laws in Maryland take affect October 1
Yes but the no sign and it becomes law has a time limit as in is it 20 days after the session or is it automatic on 10-1. Ok so i just found somethings out, the MGA has 30 days after the session to send the bills over to the Governor to sign or veto or let sit after 6 days of no action the bill is considered not vetoed and becomes law.

So does any one know if the bills were sent over to the governor and if so when

It's a depressing read and not quite as explicit as I was hoping for the best I get out of it is my best bet is carry in my car and no where else to keep from accidentally violating it.

Just the latest reason why I need to GTFO this state. All the better knowing that when I sell and buy (houses), my good credit score forces me the luxury of paying an extra 1% for someone else, who isn’t so “credit worthy”!! When will this “equity” nightmare end?

    Almost.

Carry is prohibited explicitly in a crap load of places . In Addition to the places inherently Prohibited , the rest of the places require affirmative permission to carry .

There is a Cynical Summation of this , but I haven't seen it brought up yet , and I won't be the Wet Blanket to say it first .
Just like waldstrikkker said... "Fine you can get your permit, but you can only carry in your home."

They've defacto banned carry.... I just hope the courts dont dilly dally like they do everything else.

He doesn't have to. It becomes law automagically using the Lawnchair Larry "desktop non-veto".

While I fully expect him to sign this POS bill, it will become law with or without his signature.

It interesting question is, why would he not sign it? To me, that would signify his aspiration to national office; no sense in offending half the nation's voters with a stroke of the pen. Doubtless, though, I'm over-thinking this, even though we have the O'Malley/Hogan Executive Aspiration syndrome reasonably well documented.

More like the O'Malley/Hogan Presidential Delusion syndrome...

I predict he will not sign it, knowing it will eventually be smacked down and he doesn't want his name tied to it. He knows it will become law without his signature and he can distance himself from it when the courts strike it down.
