What have we learned about the MD GA, specifically the Dem supermajority, from their treatment of SB1?

They don't care about the Constitution
They don't care for the Supreme Court
They don't care about the law-abiding citizens
They don't care about their oath of office
They don't care about wasting the taxes they extort from the public
They don't care to listen to reasoned opposition
They don't have to care about any of the above

They'll use any excuse, however dubious, unconstitutional or immoral/unethical, to follow the diktats of the Progressive Party

In their heart of hearts, most of them would prefer to see us dead.

He told them that he would file a lawsuit the day it gets passed when he testified against the bill. They already know this and don't care.

More specifically , that we would file , we would win , and the state would pay lots of lawyer fees to MSI .

Yes. Generally, the floor votes will be consistent with how they voted in committee, however. We used to be able to get committee votes. Im unsure if that is still available via committee staff

I am so tired of the up and downs. I thought with Heller we finally had the win of all wins…. Nope. Then with Bruen I thought for sure that was the case to end all this crap but here we are yet again. Now of course things are much better than before but I just feel like death by a thousand cuts. I think we all know we should win in court… eventually. But how long is that going to take? If the courts don’t grant the injunction or TRO (I’m not a lawyer) in the Montgomery County case… we could be waiting years. It will end up being the same for this bill. I am just over this shit. I really thought we would get help with redistricting but we didn’t and I have no idea where those lawsuits are anymore. Then I had really hoped Hogan would do more for us but he did almost zero. #FrustratedInWestminster

What's the betting line on NONE of the floor amendments that the Fresh Prince promised and pinky swore to materialize?

Or the better question is IF they materialize what are the odds that the entire Senate entertain them?

The chalk is zero, zip, nada.

How the hell do these people sleep at night? They must have no conscience at all to sit there and lie to our face and there's not a dam thing we can do about it.
Upside down, hanging from a rafter. With their cloak wrapped around them.

Since Waldo is a FNG, he gets handed a prewritten bill and told to submit it if he wants a career in politics. And he looks like enough of a cuck that he'll follow orders to the letter.

Oh, they'll be entertained... the Committee Floor Leader for each bill will laugh gleefully while stating "not a friendly amendment; we urge the body to resist"...

By "they", I mean the demon members of the legislature will be entertained... if the allegedly friendly members even dare to attempt to amend their betters...

It seems that I'm a bit more optimistic than many others on here.

    [/QUOTE]

Optimistic isn't the right word .

Viewed in most positive light , it would be Disappointed Realism that ( that iteration of the Bill ) was the greatest degree of Mitigation that could be achieved at this stage .

But 20 tons of $*** , reduced from 30 tons of $*** , is Still 20 tons of $*** . Still sucks , still unacceptable , and arguably puts us Worse Off than before Bruen .

My Slam is addressed at the MGA . not MSI . other 2A orgs and individuals . They're doing the best that can be done at this stage of events .

But, but, but the Fresh Prince pinky swore and spit shaked on it. That's what got Sen James' vote in committee.

I find it amazing that more people aren't asking the question why is the guy that has proclaimed that he is going to sue if this turd is passed is one of two experts advising the committee as they shepherd this abortion through the process and it still went through as amended?

I'm a simple guy but I don't understand why the FP and/or WaldstreiKKKer consulted with this person and cut out some of the BS but went forward with restrictions that were undoubtedly(?) conveyed to them were unconstitutional and would result in suit being filed?

If WaldstreiKKKer really believed his cosmic ******** why yield on the 100' rule of any place of public assembly? Why leave churches off the sensitive places list but keep private day care facilities (often provided in church facilities) on the list?

Hell my wife can’nt Nit pick my bad habits to that degree lol

My guess: Protek da chilluns. Perfectly in keeping with their tried and true play: "LOOK! A BABY!" It's all about the feelz. None of this intersects with reality in any way.

I would genuinely like to read up some examples of state legislatures changing laws like this because of non compliance by a small minority of the state’s residents that are generally on the opposite political pole from the entire one-party state government.

Even ONE example would be fascinating to see.
