    Thank you very much.

For the MDS Brain Trust: Here is your final list of un-Constitutional, racist and fanciful reasons why the MGA Judicial Proceedings Committee thinks a law-abiding person is not entitled to a Constitutional and pre-existing right to self-defense:

    1. Heightened emotions
    2. Diminished capacities
    3. Adversarial competition
    4. Comparative time-space burden
    5. Sensitive content

I think they struggled to get their arms around "gooder and substantialer" and "not-disapproveder". This was the best our Annapolis paragons could render.

    Ah yes.

Yes. Generally, the floor votes will be consistent with how they voted in committee,

Not necessarily . We've seen it where once the Dem Leadership is confident of landslide , they will " allow " certain Dems to Floor vote against an anti gun Bill when it doesn't matter , to protect their seat in a moderate to conservative district . But their Committee and Procedural Votes helped to tactically get it passed , following orders .

    Well that was interesting

I wish the proposers/sponsors would consider or attempt to view this bill from this vantage point.

This bill directly and ONLY targets trained, law abiding citizens. Not criminals. Full stop. Let that sink in.
So, for every location the bill is proposing to prohibit, view the prohibition as the removal of trained, law abiding citizens from being able to effectively defend themselves and others. Leaving these locations open for only criminals to operate within. Now, explain how that makes us safer?

The way I know we are truly living in bizarro world is at the same time SB1 is being pushed through to remove the right for law abiding citizens to defend themselves we also have HB1180 being pushed that would remove the ability to convict anyone under the age of 25 from being convicted of 1st degree murder. So, we are effectively ensuring that the most violent criminal offenders spend the least amount of time incarcerated as possible while simultaneously removing the ability for the law abiding citizenry to protect themselves.

    What could possibly go wrong??

Most benevolent explanation is that Don't Care . It never was about Safety .

    This X 1000

That way they can get up in front of their constituents and say "I voted against gun control, but the MGA passed it anyway."

    It came out of committee

Facebook-level legal analysis is not a language this forum should speak. There's plenty of good knowledge around here to learn how the process actually works

    Yes . but :

Current HJP is heavily predisposed to be anti gun .
Majority Leadership is heavily predisposed restrict 2A .
The Governor has announced he is eager to sign any anti 2A Bills to reach his desk .

SJP Was the ( comparitively ) best opportunity to reign it in .

Best hope at this point , is for House Judiciary to get the bit in their teeth , and go full retard , amending it to be even worse than Original Language . And then bog down in Reconciliation , if Senate Judical sticks to their ( slightly ) watered down version , and they can't reach any agreement , in time for floor votes in both chambers before Sine Die .

    I almost wish I hadn't watched that.

    Sausage making isn't pretty .

Sure it would be less aggravating to use to not look or participate . But the old " You can ignore Politics , but that won't make Politics ignore You ." .

I guess if it passes in Oct 1 i will know more by then. If someone could clarify for us about businesses. TY!

It will pass or not , in today's form or otherwise , before Sine Die ( somebody insert this years date ) . Then the Governor will sign , veto , or allow to pass into law without his signature . ( He's already said repeatedly he wants to sign any and all gun control )

Then a Signed Bill will take effect October 1 .

I'd give her 10" and make it hurt (7 times, and punch her in the face)

When I told her no references were being contacted, during my 2/7 testimony, she winked at me, so she may well enjoy my tinyness

I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?

Ha! I know these bitches! I did battle with them and they can never be trusted.

For those of you playing the home game and are not as familiar with some of the critters, the dim bulb who said that an establishment that applies for a liquor license is presumed to be anti carry is Sen (former Delegate) Ariana "Areola" Kelly. Interesting past she has.....

    FTA:

At that time, according to the police account, Kelly started ringing the doorbell repeatedly and banging on the door. The charging documents state Sanford played a cell phone video for police that showed Kelly ringing the doorbell “numerous times,” exposing her breasts in the direction of Sanford’s cell phone camera, and then “with one breast in each hand [shaking] them up and down.’”
God bless the poor bastards who had to view that video, not all heroes wear capes.

And for the record, while in FL permit holders cannot sit in the bar area of a restaurant but they can consume alcohol with their meal. And there is a move in FL to allow OC in their ConCarry bill.

And in Virginia you are not allowed to consume alcohol UNLESS you are open carrying, ala the invention of the Virginia Tuck.
