Did he just provide a new marketing campaign for all the defensive ammo manufacturers, “our 9mm defensive load will blow their lungs out...”?

I don't expect much from people that know absolutely nothing about guns, ammo and the like to tell me what should happen to them.

Like asking my mechanic to check my nut-sack for a lump, and who are the 34% of people that think Biden is doing a good job and what would he have to do to lose their support.
I believe that question you ask is one of the most important question for our countries survival

There’s what he says and then there’s what the agencies actually do.

For example, the ghost gun rule doesn’t even ban 80% receivers as originally sold. I expect the brace rule due by August will likewise be substantially walked back.

    Wow, No 9mm handguns.

How many is that in the US?

15,111,566 produced from 2010-2020. Twice as many as the next most popular cartridge.

There sure isn't that many sitting on the shelves.

Oh and not counting the previous decades and the years 2021-2022.

This is not to defend Biden, who is clearly an idiot... but I was thinking about the span of waterfront covered by "9mm" and it is pretty significant. While all of approximately the same caliber, there are certainly some significant rounds in the 9mm family. To be fair, I wouldn't volunteer to be shot by any of them, but some even less than others.

I'm sure I'm missing a few in the 9mm-ish range, but just for consideration, any of these could be considered "9mm",

So, the question is:. Which of those will shoot your lungs out? Or is it all of them?
