Their ultimate goal is the elimination of individual gun ownership. They achieve this by proposing and passing incremental gun restrictions that are "common sense" to secure agreement from the ignorant public. Eventually, it will be only "common sense" that in a modern world no one needs a gun. DO NOT GIVE ONE INCH.

We didn't trade or vote our way to freedom and liberty in 1776 and we're not gonna be able to do it now either.

And, IMO, the problem isn't the collapse of the family or lack of faith, it's the lack of repercussions for criminal behavior. Murderers were publicly hung in the past for its deterrent impact. Now a murderer can lift weights and watch tv for a couple years and get out.

There has to be a willingness to punish and remove from society violent criminals even if they're 17 and even if they're minorities or fatherless etc. Unfortunately punishment seems to be taboo in our modern society.

Nor are they interested in reducing the fear of the populace. This is a hard to imagine but an extremely important realization.

Why? Only ineffective solutions (more dead bodies) will continue to provide them with the political (emotional) support to enact even more laws. Imagine if UBC's fixed their imagined 'gun violence' problem perfectly. 100%. No insane person has shot up a school/business in 3 years. Do you think they would get behind Reciprocity or re-open the machine gun registry? Not in your wildest dreams. Ineffective solutions are the only path that allows them to make "incremental improvements".

Two important points here to note: They try to control by fear and they bank on people responding/reacting emotionally.
I don't care what you say you cannot trust your government simply because powerful people are in control and they want more power and control. They aren't afraid of you as an individual but they are afraid of an armed individual. As long as you are able and WILLING to defend yourself you create an inkling of doubt/fear in the minds of those who want to disarm you.
As was stated earlier, we have already been too complacent in allowing them to erode our freedoms in the name of safety and security and the the anti's continue to gain power, even converting some of the "Neville Chamberlains" in our ranks.

When was the last time there was a compromise made by gun grabbers to try something to expand carry rights to try and prevent a mass shooting? I’ll wait patiently for an answer, but I’m not holding my breath.

ETA I mean comprise in the sense that we should have constitutional carry nationwide and shall issue on a state level with national reciprocity would be acceptable. I’m also not willing to give up any ground from our side. Every time there’s a tragedy we lose ground and it prevents absolutely nothing. Only gets us one step closer to their end goal. Confiscation. In case you missed it, Biden has already said he’s coming for “assault weapons” if he gets elected.

I have a question, UBC to my knowledge is that if I sell a gun to an individual then the person that I am selling it to needs to go through a BC is that correct? I don't want to hear conspiracy theories on what there gonna take next but what is the problem with that.

google is your friend, I am not.
Trump is talking during his presser today about "meaningful" background checks to keep guns from the hands of the mentally ill.

Trump says he does not buy the "slippery slope" argument.

my guess is fidelity is right, also that trump is going to try to water this down as much as possible to force feed it to his base.

4 reasons why universal background checks are a bad idea

I agree it won't stop mass shootings or shootings in general my thing is keeping firearms out of the hands of those who aren't legally able to purchase them and to punish those who purchase firearms for them.
I also agree would be hard to enforce without gun registration which I have to do anyway as a prisoner of Washington DC who got paroled thanks to Heller vs DC.

UBCs will do nothing to prevent the above bolded.
