Can't transfer 2013 preban Title 1 guns to anyone in MD and get them back.
A FFL and all of their inventory and customer guns are also at a huge risk doe to this law. If you don't understand what that means then you're not going to get an explanation.
The safest way to protect your property under this law is to make them all Title II and put them into a trust as an NFA item of some type. Have a trustee that does not live at your residence. If someone calls in an ERPO then all of the NFA items in that trust and be transferred to the other trustee and the police can't touch them. When this is done no transfer is taking place.
I'll believe that if it happens. Didn't they just pass definition of transfer involving more hoops to jump through just to do that?
Does a temporary LE confiscation and a return constitute a transfer? I'd like to think it didn't.You won't be able to get a pre ban 2013 gun back.

Unless I misread it the new bill (law) says firearms must go to ffl or the police. Nothing about a family member being allowed to take them. And WHAT ABOUT AMMO??? Is there language anywhere that specifies who what when where why and how a persons .22 stash is treated?

How many of us have family members who are up at 4am to receive a firearm collection after a SWAT team flash bangs your bedroom window, kicks in your door, and confiscates your guns?
...and shoots your dog!

Does the law specifically provide for confiscation of ammo, magazines, or anything besides the actual firearms?
Pics of the FL red flag guy's confiscated items had a knife on the table, fwiw.Or any magazine that holds greater than 10 bullets.
It is not specifically mentioned in this bill, but I would expect the police will confiscate ALL of your ammunition and any other "dangerous weapons" in the vicinity of the firearms. So kiss your knife collection goodbye too.
Good luck getting any of that stuff back.

Curious myself. Might be a good idea to have a version of this bill/law that is easy for most to read so it can be shared ...
How does the average joe citizen know about these new laws??
Average Joe won't know.

I have a question.
I was told by someone here that was setting up trusts that I couldn't put my pre 13 , or any other, ar 15's in a trust because they weren't nfa items.
is that true or was I misinformed?

I think people are mixing up bills. House bill 1646, which orders a judge to tell someone convicted of a disqualifying crime that firearms need to be transferred did pass - that bill allows family members (apparently) to take them. Guns are seized if you don't comply. Presumably if you are convicted, you are going to jail. That may or may not be a safe presumption in this state.
This bill 1302, does not allow transfers IIRC. LEO takes them.
They need to be NFA to be in a Trust (S.B.S., A.O.W., or S.B.R.).
