I said to myself these cuffs hurt BIG TIME, so I must be a whiny bitch! What a relief to see the reason. (I’m not a whiny bitch after all, I guess, LOL. A temporary MCP tattoo, no charge boss!)

As for charges , creating “a demonstration”, trespassing and “failure to obey a lawful order”.

Please, someone tell me how on God's green earth can someone be charged with trespassing on a public sidewalk. Please?

My God, has insanity eaten the brains of all in Annapolis?

It’s a good and substantial reason to show up next Monday for sure.

This is not acceptable. It does, however, show what these "lawmakers" think of us. We are scum of the earth to them. We shall keep the pressure on. Needs to go national.....

These guys have pretty much NOTHING to do. This was a major incident for them. I would say that there are first timer "cops" working there who have never made an arrest at all. Most aren't seasoned enough to even question right or wrong.

They used to be called Department of General Services Police which basically reflected the security guard nature of their jobs but that wasn't cool enough I guess so they changed it to Maryland Capitol Police. How some of their folks I have met them got MPTC certification is beyond me.

So let’s break this down...failure to obey an UNLAWFUL order, trespassing on public property, demonstrating...really? What your first amendment rights. Did they forget to add what they told you about “impeding the flow of traffic”? Did they ever tell you who ordered the unlawful arrest knowing that you couldn’t move due to no permit?

I have contacted Fox45 and FoxNews with information and requesting that they cover this story. Fox45 is having a meeting where I am told this will be considered for coverage.

My physical disabilities make it very difficult for me to participate in the demonstrations but my heart is there with the demonstrators for they speak for me, too.

The gentlemen that were illegally detained would appear to have an excellent case for a lawsuit and should also seek damages for personal injury because the cops used the cuffs in a way they would cause injury!

Although I cannot picket, I can raise hell on the computer and telephone. I will be ringing some phones today!

The guy I know there, tells people he works for the state police. How's that for being proud of where you work? LOL

Here is the MCP chief's info
I suggest we keep his phone ringing off the hook and his email full. We need to demand the resignation or termination of the supervisor that was on scene last night asap.

Chief Wilson is an awesome person and is in a tough spot, so please don’t flame him.

The shutdown we ran into last night has all the earmarks of a menopausal Democrat tantrum—Democrats who run the Statehouse and the grounds act like it is their inherited castle.

Miller & Busch ordered up this clash of tribes because they think they hold all the cards.

    Nope.

Will all respect, Rack, it is his JOB to make sure they Democrats can't do that.

Maryland Capitol Police Chief Wilson 410-767-6744

and Gov. Hogan’s Office 410-974-3901 don’t seem to have any knowledge of last nights arrest.

Perhaps the keyboard commandos here will stop clicking, which does little good, and reach out to both to demand their right to peaceful petition their government from the public sidewalk.

And I think you guys hit the nail on the head there.

Just my opinion, I wasn't there and I am so glad the guys who were taken in are out now and okay. But I think it is a wasted opportunity to complain about the police and not the leftist lawmakers who you know darn well probably pressured the DGS police into "doing something" about those pesky people they found so annoying.

If you all you do is complain about the police, I can see right now what is going to happen. The liberals in the MGA are going to turn around and come back at you with "oh I agree, those protestors never should have been arrested, we may disagree on things but we fully support their right to protest as Americans, it's what makes us a free country, yada, yada, yada." And they come out looking better for this incident, not worse. Don't allow that to happen. Don't waste this PR opportunity. Don't let them turn the spotlight away from themselves and onto a few security guards. My suggestion is to keep demanding an investigation into why this suddenly became an issue.

Keep floating the idea that this is suppression of free speech by the democratic machine, not just by a few sworn security guards. Make it a local version of the accusations of Trump wanting to fire Mueller (oh won't the liberals love being compared to him). Hidden use of political power is a big deal in the news right now. And reporters love to theme local stories as mini-versions of national news themes.

These are just my opinions. And again I am so glad you guys who got picked up are apparently okay. You have my respect for taking so much of your time and always standing up for our rights.

I sent Phil Van Cleave the President of VCDL the pics of the guys being arrested. If someone can point me to the video of the arrest, I'll send that as well.

I'll report back if I get a response from Phil.

I am currently on hold for a producer conference for the “Chris Plante Show” on WMAL FM, where he is now syndicated nationwide.

Not sure he can allocate time to this story with the stock market and a 2nd Fed Gov shutdown looming.

    Let’s see what happens.
