Where is the NRA on this? They should be hounding daily for this. And if they are, WTF is wrong with the congressional republicans?

Perhaps an opening to get another Senate seat? http://www.philly.com/philly/news/p...-democratic-fight-against-trump-20170818.html
This would be huge. The Senate has been a big cluster and a good replacement for Menendez could put this over the top.
Don't get your hopes up
Speaker Ryan is already talking gun control

Ryan’s response – keep guns away from criminals
I dislike Ryan, and thought a mistake Trump didn't ask him to go before he even took oath of office. But..
Anyone making an issue with that statement needs help..
"I'd say two things. Number one, you've got to -- we've got to do a better job of making sure that criminals don't get guns or that people who are suspected of terrorism, like domestic terrorism, don't get guns."
"Suspected terrorism?" This sounds too much like the Democrats' obsession with their unconstitutional proposal to ban people on the do not fly list.

Then I guess I need help.
Liberals have been using the exact same language to push gun control for decades. Ryan should know better.
Two different meanings for the exact same language.
"Keeping guns out of the hands of criminals"......meaning actual criminals.
versus
"any citizen is a potential criminal, therefore we need to keep guns out of their hands".
Any plan to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, is only accomplished if the criminals are in prison.

the lame ass republicans cant pass a budget or healthcare. What makes anyone think they care about passing this or the hearing protection act?
smh
I think they do care but unfortunately can't do 2 things at once and the big items are bogged down right now.
