I wish none of mine had those cheesy add-on safeties and don't use them at all. I like the anti-glare grooves on the Yugo sighting surface and appreciate the extra round but have noticed no appreciable difference in accuracy among them with the same ammo. The differences are pretty minimal among mine and getting a nice example of whatever iteration you choose is probably more important but frankly, I'm pretty much a newbie to these C&R tools.

Yeah I haven't seen much difference in how they shoot, but the machine work and finish on the Polish model is a step above the Romanian and two steps above the Yugo. Doesn't impact the function in MOST cases.

I say most, because I got a surplus Yugo that was in near unissued condition, but the machine work was so incredibly rough on the slide rails and hammer, the slide would stay back on it's own just by friction. A little work with a stone and all was good. But it had some seriously rough machine work.

I've noticed that on several Yugo firearms as I own many. That's the only case where it actually made a difference as far as function goes.

    I don't have a C&R license. I need to correct that.
Yeah, even if you don't buy many C&R guns...you can get anything from SOG, even modern stuff you just have to have it sent to a dealer. And Graf and Sons in Missouri will give you a dealer discount, they sell ammo, accessories, and reloading supplies if you havent heard of them. The discount is pretty significant, too. Not like Midway USA'S old discount that was a couple percent at best.

Yes, yes you do. Same thing toolness1 said about SOG and Graf's goes for Century as well. Bought both my FN-FAL receiver and my Arcus 94DA from them at wholesale pricing even though they aren't C&R. Had them shipped to my transfer 01FFL and went from there.

I have asked for the paperwork. I'm going to make this happen as soon as it arrives.

In the meantime, i got one of these:

They gave me the $10 discount and free shipping. I might have it Thursday!

The paperwork is available as a fillable .pdf that you can work up on your pc, print out, and then mail in. Or, you can go the snail mail both ways route. Either way you do it, it's good to have the step-by-step walk-through from garandgear.com open when you fill it out. They take any questions or mystery out of the whole process.

Welcome to the loonie bin... err.... I mean club! The real fun begins when you realize that there's a whole world of C&R eligible firearms just waiting for you to buy them up. Not just milsurps either. I got into it for that part of the deal but have since expanded my horizons. I never knew I wanted a long-recoil operated rifle until I saw one. Now I can chase one down and have it delivered to my door.

Also, there's no better feeling than walking into a LGS or gunshow in another state and knowing that you can buy a pistol there (so long as it's old enough) and take it home directly.

Thanks to the link and info on the fillable PDF. My handwriting is terrible. I lost out on Bull Moose's $350 "hand select" (I read that as "great shooter", not necessarily pretty) K31s this week because I was fiddling around trying to figure out which FFL to ask to receive it, and I don't want to miss out on more opportunities like that. So I requested the forms from the ATF a couple days ago, since that will greatly simplify things.

Anybody bought one of the J&G 7mm Spanish Mausers? The price is good but reviews are all over the place.

I saw a bunch at a past Frederick gun show. Must have been +30 of them. They were $99, I passed on all of them.

I saw those at Chantilly, not even worth the price for parts. I figured J&G had the same ugly Samco rifles but wasn't sure.

I have a Romanian Tokarev that I picked up a few years ago and I see that Classic has a special price on Yugo's for $199. I have not had a purchase in some time because of the house but I am getting the itch for a C&R purchase.

I have been a little skeptical of Classic over the past 1.5 years or so but its one site that is not blocked at work :)
    Anyone order one of these?

I saw that SOG has M57 parts kits (no receiver) for $150 but that is a terrible deal if you can get the entire pistol for $199, lol.

I paid $219 for mine from 'em so if they are from the same batch, I was certainly happy with mine...except for the lame-o add-on "safety".
