The point is those of us without an active clearance/compartment billet and no apprehended fear of physical reprisal based on more than personal anxiety have approximately zero chance. Am I wrong?

With the OPM breach, you can point to the number of applicants citing the breach as being more than personal anxiety, due to the sheer number of them.

OPM breach on its own is currently not enough, need a minimum of TS clearance and some proof of actually working at a job (Contractor/USG) and having the actual clearance to have a better than average chance of getting a carry permit.

I'm trying to go this route right now. Emailed Britt a week ago, called yesterday and still nothing so who's next on the list for this kind of thing?

I tried contacting Britt via email as well and received zero response, before going it on my own and ultimately receiving my permit.

And that, sir, was my point. Outside the DC burbs the pickins are slim.

PM sent to hook you up with someone that obtained a permit for this reason and will be happy to walk you through the process.

I was/are an OPM victim myself. Got my debit card hacked but I caught it quicker than the stupid software they gave us. Anyway working for the DVA here in WV is a Catch-22 situation. CCW and OC but as soon as I drive on the campus I can't even have one in the car. Used to be when I worked at the other facility and drove straight back from a match to work I could park my vehicle outside the gate and come in. Of course until they knew whose vehicle it was the guards got worried about car bombs. Now where I work I would have to park it in the 7-11 lot and would still have a long walk. Too much trouble. I wonder if NSA employees still get to keep a firearm in their cars while at work like they used to in MD.

Hey, give it a shot. You may even get it - you won't know until you try.

Just to clarify, I have a business permit for one of my jobs as a business owner, trying to get that permits restrictions lifted because of the OPM hack (or another permit issued because of OPM hack).

    I'm, PM sent.
