(Maybe this should be posted under The Depot) I was hoping to go to this show and get a good deal on 9mm ammunition for range practice. However, since my HQL hasn't gone through yet I don't believe I'm allowed to purchase ammunition in MD. I don't have a handgun yet but pretty sure I'm going to get a Glock 19 Gen4. I have shot that one the best out of about a half a dozen guns I've rented. There are hundreds of brands of ammunition but everything I have read is get FMJ 115 American Eagle for practice and something heavier for defense. Is that an accurate opinion?

You don't need a license for ammo, and I'll have 9mm at a very fair price. You'll find our setup halfway back with the metal carts and black pallets with piles of goodies on them.

Not too packed. precision has 80%
    CCI 500 for $25 1K
Tomkat and the couple have powder.

    Dang I missed the CCI!

I did get my lower (or a week from Wednesday I will). So I am happy. Not as happy about the price. I talked to pretty much everyone and I only ran across 4 guys selling rifle AR lower (engage had 9mm lowers) and Fox was the cheapest at $115 for Spike lowers.

    :-(

But I had the spare cash, even if only barely.

I really wish I'd gotten in to shooting 5 years ago.

Now that I have a stripped billet lower, or shortly will, I'll check out an 80%, or two (more in case I butcher the finishing on the first one), poly lowers online. That can wait though. No hurries and no worries.

I also heard one dealer (not naming names) who sold a rifle with clips telling the guy that the clips had to be pinned to 10rnds, but he could just remove the pins when he got home. That last part doesn't sound correct/legal, or am I missing something? Un-pinning would be "manufacturing" a magazine >10rnds wouldn't it?

Anybody here that wants to give me a jump? ;)

Roommate left his lights on while we were wandering.

Edit: Got jumped by a good Samaritan!

Take your 10 round mag over the state line and hit the pin (and at some point the rough spots inside the mag) with a Dremel. Or just buy some on your next visit to a more civilized state.

I can't imagine this "one lower a year" is even legal unless he's a manufacturer. Price wise a pretty good deal though, as long as you get at least two lowers before they lock him up in club Fed.
