    was being kind:D

The one sore spot for the show is the general harassment to check firearms including CCW, the York show's door guy seems wound particularly too tight. Obviously concealed means concealed,(no force of law, and I carry anyway) and if it really bothered me I have the option to not go, The NRA outdoor show is the only one around that encourages lawful carry. Other gun shows have an area to check firearms being brought to the show, usually a polite "please check all loaded firearms here" on the way in, I understand you don't want idiots tossing loaded guns to potential buyers to finger, even get the insurance Nazi thing, but the jackass that stands out front of most York shows screaming at everyone is by far the worst.

I think the Oaks show demand you unload your CCW to get into the show. Last time I was there, I'm pretty sure this was the policy.

Havent been to one in a while. No pat downs or metal detectors were there when I was.

I joked about how many people just walked in with their heater tucked in regardless.

Most have a "no loaded firearms" sign, most have a table by the door where firearms can be checked and ziptied, and a polite "if you have any firearms check them over there" when buying a ticket or going in. There really isn't an effort to harass people over it or check CCWs other than the handful that volunteer to expose their CCW, this is how it has been during several Oaks an Harrisburg shows. The best is The NRA outdoor show, that is the only show I know of where lawful carry is welcome as an official policy. I carry anyway, I'm OK with the status quo at most shows, although the first show to feature patdowns, metal detectors, or any real search will be my last. I know, "their show, their rules blah blah, it's still BS. In my experience, York is the oddball, one guy in particular stands out front and barks at everyone in line, accuses random people of carrying, stands right over people buying tickets, just about everything short of patdowns, a real nutcase mall ninja. In fairness there are others that watch the door and are polite and respectful about it. Have talked to a few vendors that do other shows, but won't do York, cancelling the show without notice, suicides and robberies in the past and apparently some of their rules keep a few away.

If I'm not mistaken their sign referenced CC weapons as well. I'll be honest with you, I can't remember what I had for dinner last night, so I may be mistaken. :D

I went to the last one, end of February, I think, and found a GIGANTIC line to get in about 1/2 hour after opening. I have a bum knee, so I couldn't stand in line that long. I left and returned about 11:00 a.m. and only had to wait about 10 minutes to get in. Other than that, it was a nice show. I suspect that because of recent events, there may be a large crowd this time.

Looking to pick up some 9mm and 5.56 in bulk. Anyone know what cases of 1,000 rounds are going for at the show?

Prices are all over the place. Remans vs no name vs boxed name brand. It's hard to tell. I personally like to buy my reman ammo from Freedom Munitions over the internet. But if you want to buy at the gun show, I'd recommend you get there early. It's possible that after Orlando, ammo could be carried out of the show in wheelbarrows.

    Good Luck!

How's the York show for reloading components, like primers and powders. What about bullets and brass? Thanks.

Was planning on going to at least look around, but if there is a line out the door after noon, I'll pass.
