I have an aging Chevy, I don't care what Protege post, I need to keep him close. Already had the trans lines rust out, might hit him up for the gas filler recall.

I'll give him a legit donut and will have him hooked. non of that premade stale dunkin crap. although I don't mind their coffee.

    Express van?

I'm here for ya when it's time  :D

What up with the fuel filler hose recall? I've already replaced the filler tube due to it not allowing you to fill up without the gas pump being kicked off every 3 seconds. Now that it's replaced sometimes it doesn't shut off until too late. It stops and you can hear the sound of fluid raising which is a good sign to step aside as it spits fuel out.

Only does that from time to time but enough for me to always manually stop it when I think it's full enough.

Any idea if that was part of the recall that isn't went out or unrelated?

Tbh, I'm not aware of a filler neck recall on trailblazers. Just the fuel level sensor.

I'll look it up tomorrow and pm you ;)

Since it seems like we're getting a lot of new members here, what do you think about posting a "box score to date" of some sort along with the other info? Something simple like:

    Cases: x; Denied: y; Approved: z.

    Maybe starting with this year?

Just a thought; disregard at will. I, for one, appreciate your posting the date time and location for each meeting.

While the box score is a neat idea, it isn't official unless we see the actual letters that go out from the HPRB to both the applicant and MSP.

Why that ***-****** lying **** of ****. He told me we were best buddies.

Now I have resorted responding to his quotes. Of course he will think this is funny, when at all I am not.

What's the difference? I see nothing wrong with lightening the mood,

Honestly, I think it's about the signal to noise ratio.

I have no problem with forum in jokes and being silly with friends and stuff. I do it too.

The problem is that there is potentially a lot of really good, really important information in the HPRB threads that could be used as a very positive force for what we're trying to do, but it gets VERY lost in 32 pages of in-jokes, emojis, and "hey, she scratched her left eyebrow just now!" type posts.

Due to work / life scheduling between my wife and I, I'm not generally currently able to make the meetings, so I make a serious effort to read up on what goes on, but it is hard to sift though pages and pages of the jokes to find the posts that have the really useful information.

Some of the lenghier summaries that get written out are a wonderful resource for those of us who can't be there, but finding them is really becoming a pain.

Maybe having a thread for each meeting that's less of a "live blog" type thing and more of a "here's the summary for tonight" would help?

Since the HPRB meeting threads get started pretty much as soon as a meeting finishes and have about 8-10 pages before the next meeting actually gets underway, possibly a separate "Results of the HPRB Meeting On XYZ Date" thread with just a summary of the meeting would be appropriate.

The original thread could be used as is with the jocularity and the real time expressions of incredulity and four letter word usage.

    Just a thought....

Quoting a five paragraph post just so you can say "well stated",.... that's much better than someone making one post at a time during the meeting to keep people up to date.

I'll refrain from posting anything tonight, that way the 2 dozen people who always seem to have more important things to do (so far) will have easier reading tomorrow morning.

You say that like it's a bad thing?

    I did?

Wading through tons of crap ain't fun. The only remedy is for folks to stop crapping or put up with the slogging. Kudos to those who are willing to bring others up to date. I barely have enough time to make the trek once.

    Another two cents:

I actually like reading the "live stream" part of the threads that everybody puts up while they're in the meetings. It's just really really hard to find the pertinent parts if I don't have a bunch of time to read the thread. That's why I made the suggestion of a separate "summary" type thread or something.
