When my process is over I will provide the details of all I have been forced to submit. I promise you this, if you apply with G&S in DC prepare for an extensive process with numerous changes in the rules as things go. This is not for the faint of heart. If I didn't have so much time and money invested I would have given up long ago. My story will be posted soon (hopefully).

It has not been easy to continue dealing with the extremely intrusive nature of this application process. As I stated before if the renewal process is like this I will have to seriously consider if it is worth renewing. The Chief clearly wants to weed out anyone who doesn't have the stomach to put up with the hassle. I thought it would be easier than MD, boy was I wrong. If approved (hopefully soon) I will post a timeline and the NUMEROUS actions necessary to get a DC permit under their G&S.

Denied. I had sent an email about adding the G&S (which at the time wasn't required).
I got no answer from SGT. Hall...
So wtf, I will appeal to keep it alive, My G&S should get me the permit...Maybe.

Received today a Receipt of Appeal Hearing Request Case # 2015-0043

So maybe so far they have had 43 hearing requests??

A three (3) members (Panel ) has been assigned to review your request. This panel will consist of Zach Stewart as the Presiding member along with Laura Ingersoll and Gary Abrecht.........etc...etc...

I received my notification of receipt (This is something i would like to push for to pass into law that the HPRB must respond) while I was away in Japan, and just got back.
I am #2015-0039. Nice to meet you #2015-0043.

Looks like my panel has a different set of people.

From what I read, the appeal board sends a copy of Appeal to Lanier, then waits for a response. There is no time limit I find for Lanier to respond. The clock starts to tick for the hearing panel, after they receive a response from Lanier

Datapoint. Just received my denial from MPD as a DC resident.

TWO documented incidents as a victim of robberies with a deadly weapon (muggings) in public space in DC submitted as G&S including a MPD incident report.

I guess even having been victimized in the past doesn't "demonstrate a good reason to fear injury to person or property" to these jokers.
