Woohoo everyone we're the dumbest gun forum on the planet.

No! We have awesome people here. We also a pretty quick to be clicky. Most everybody in this thread are really great people, and really knowledgeable. I have personally learned from many.

I also think that some hands on time with this product would change some minds.

He is just noting that at the included link, mocking is not allowed. But, you like to mock, not have a real discussion about a product, so....

Glad you picked up on that. What I have been mocking is this thinly veiled excuse for marketing. The fact that I find the product useless, and the powder discharge from the back ridiculous, is secondary.

Concern about who thinks that is as important to me as dog shit on my boots.

I think our appeal lies in our predominantly MD base and that a good bit of us know each other off the web.:)

In the second half of this comment, you inadvertently made a reasoned argument. Thank you for adding a reason you might not use this product to the debate.

Again, fine marketing. Still being condescending to potential customers. I see a great career for you in sales.

I know that. Thats why I say that those that went through the pains and money to produce this product felt it would add a significant safety factor to the Glock platform. They would not have gone through all that for any other reason.

It would not hurt to look into this thing a bit. If you dont want one, cool. But why the disrespect? (not necessarily from you SB)

Unfortunately for the inventor my mind is made up.

Here is a list of my "bitches".

    1. Training (that is proper training) negates the existence of this product. The firearm functions as designed very well without it.

    2. If the target market is having difficulty properly reholstering, adding an additional step is the wrong way to go. Imagine someone that can't start a car. Turn key, go no problems for most. Then put them in a manual where now it is push clutch, turn key go, and shift manually. Adding steps is not a good way to address bad training habits.

    3. One thing striker fired and DAO (mainly shrouded or sealed hammers) offer is a sealed sytem. That is a system that for the most part will function without negative outside interference. They will fire with the rear of the slide/frame blocked allowing contact shot (s) in a CQB situation. This gadget eliminates that as pressing the rear of the slide prevents the striker from traveling and operating properly.

    4. To continue the above "SouthNarc" states that of the few (can't remember the exact number) failure to fires none where caused by the gadget but instead by the slide and barrel being out of battery. You would be hard pressed to return the slide to battery given the decreased surface area available for manipulation and the fact that improper placement of the thumb/chest/small Vietnamese child/table/leg/neighbors dog would stop the striker from moving.

In short, this is NOT a product I would buy, recommend, recieve, evaluate, endorse, in any manner whatsoever.

To use a colloquialism, I wouldn't piss on it to put out the fire.

ETA This is also a liability for the fact it unseals the striker system in which a foreign object can enter the inner workings of the firearm and prevent the striker from moving in its intended and designed path.

I have no idea where the discussion is headed at this point. Feel free to show up at the match next month and check out the device. Feel free to outshoot me at the match as well. Fredericksburg Steel Challenge. Last time I was mid pack, the only guy shooting from concealment. It's a straight shot down 95 and lots of fun. See you there? 1st Sunday in August. You beat me, I'll be the first to tell this forum. Feel free to report back with some actual firsthand observations of this device. I'll note that the lone forum member who has seen it (runswithscissors) is impressed.

As for those discounting SouthNarc, feel free to visit the LightFighter thread and express your disagreement. LightFighter is a heavy LE and mil forum and big boy rules apply there.

So whats the out shooting you got to do with the product. Does it make you a marksman too? Lol. That kind amazing of a gadget huh...

#1 you were condescending to me first.
#2 you made it clear you are not a potential customer.

I am in sales (I am a buyer... check my profile)

You are still a vital part of the process. Let those who would market this thing know what you don't like about it. Let them know why, in the real world you would (not) need this.

Be respectful and clear on your opinions on how this product might function, and effect your routine.

No reason (other than this is the internet, and that is not a good reason) to be disrespectful.

Mopar, I respect you, and your opinion. Thank you for them. BTW, I think you would LOVE a class with Southnarc.

So your next response will be "I know you are but what am I?"

Be up front about your advertising instead of this thinly veiled nonsense, and I will have no issue with you.

The product, does not suit my needs, and based on my training and experience, it is looking for a problem that training would solve, if it even existed in more than isolated cases. And yeah, you need the fix the powder ejection and opening up the system issue. But I get it, all of you guys know more than those dumb engineers at Glock.

I was kind of wondering the same thing? I'm all for a gadget that makes me a better shot. Practicing is just such a pain in the a$$.

    ummmm no?

Again. I am not involved with any advertising of this product, other than to think that If I had a Glock 26 I would want to make sure that I dont accidentally shoot myself in the leg.

Yes, I train on re-holstering. Yes, I check for garment interaction, when I re-holser. Currently I am doing that with a Sig 938, and a safety. No matter how much I practice, I am fallible. I know that.

If I had a glock that I intentionally pointed at my femoral artery, I would like a positive safety. If you don't, that's cool.

I I think you should respect those that might.
