Yeah ... the same as the FAA, but they are more sensitive to public feedback than the BATFE is.

    Do you have a Howard??!

I used to, owned it for about 6 years and put over 600 hours on it. It wasn't to bad when you could run car gas, but 20+ gph on 100ll would break the bank. Pm me and I'll send you a picture.

It sounds like regulation changes as opposed to laws. So to my knowledge completely within the scope of the current administration. Not that I like it. But very difficult to argue on grounds does the President and ATF have the authority to do this.

But then again, I'm no lawyer.

Fortunately, being a Frederick resident having our Sheriff, I don't see a problem having his permission. But that's sad you have to ask for "permission"

Do you guys know how many mass shootings are perpetrated by collectors with a C&R license? Me neither. But it's for the children. Think of them. I mean if you arent a criminal with anything to hide, it shouldn't be a problem, right.:sarcasm::sarcasm:

Very top of the first link in the thread had the relevant parts. Basically fingerprinting, photographs and your CLEO must give you permission.

That is absolutely untrue. I have reviewed the proposed form. Fingerprinting and photograph are NOT applicable to C&R applicants. Nor is there any requirement for the CLEO to give "permission" to anyone. I'll try to post the links to the form in a subsequent post.

You're absolutely right. I think we should all move to Beloit, WI, and ask the COP there to come search our houses for guns we don't know about. Maybe he'll find something really nice, right?

Can we ask them to sign a waiver not to disclose the results of the search to our wives?

Thanks for looking into. I was unable to find the updated forms. All of the form links posted here appeared to be older versions w/o the intended changes.
