Bump for anyone looking for a hunter safety class that can be used to get your MD hunting license.
hate to be a newb/idiot, but assuming I sign up for this course and complete it/get the certificate in the mail, then I go to DNR and file this with them?
Ask for a transfer to an in state license?
Or simply go about my business and when asked to produce documentation show them that card?
If its an approved hunters ed course...by the state of TX they (MD) should. The only question right now is if you have to be a resident of TX to take that course or if anyone over 17 can take it...
I just used my temporary card from the online course and got my license tonight at Dick's. No hitches.
The TX course w/out the field day?
Yeah, I printed out the temp card and it didn't seem to be an issue.
Excellent - good info. Thanks. Oh, and good hunting!
Great. My wife will be taking the TX online course and then we are off to Dicks to get her MD course.
Thanks for the report
This does work. It takes several hours but does work.
I did the TX part and the MD part all online. I did not go to any brick and motor.
Doesn't MD need a field day? TX online doesn't require a field day.
