The PSA kits are fine, we have some of them here (but they're included in the lower buy - awesome!) and CMMG's...the trigger pull feels a little nicer on those, so don't beat yourself up for paying $60 or so.

And just to recap...PSA has us on file, and we're accepting transfers. $30/MDS members, $20 each additional lower on the same paperwork. (Resident glutton for paperwork :/ )

Ok, I know I have read the answer to my question before, but here goes.
I want to buy this PSA lower and have it sent to an FFL. I also want to purchase a handgun from another MDS member, finally I want to build an 80% lower. I have to wait for Aug 3rd to purchase the handgun due to a previous purchase. That is the priority gun. How do I work this out? Do I buy the PSA lower, send it to the FFL and delay the paperwork until the handgun is released? Can it all be done?

I never ordered from them before, i entered my ffl's address as the shipping address. I assume they would call my ffl if they don't have them on file, or do i need to follow up with psa with more info?

    I wouldn't take the chance. Here's their instructions;

    1. Please carefully read the restrictions below.
    2. Place your order online entering the business name of your FFL (Name actually on the license) and address in the shipping information portion of checkout.
    3. Have a licensee of your choosing send us a current copy of their FFL with your order number. FFL's may fax (1-803-788-5756) or email (FFL@palmettostatearmory.com) a signed copy to us. (Please Note if we do not receive a copy of the FFL then your order will not be processed.)

I would call your FFL and ask them to send a copy to PSA. They will know if they need to or not.

Thank you, not to go off of the subject but just an overall opinion. I am playing with the idea of selling my RRA LAR8 and use the money for 2 of those $1000 colt 6920s. Yes no?

Damn, damn, damn, damn. PSA just shipped the lower I ordered the other night. I don't care for the standard Mil-Spec trigger, but for this price you're getting the rest of the LPK for free, and can upgrade to something like the ALG QMS fcg for $50 or less.

Somebody mentioned the Blackhawk! stock kit. My advice would be to stay away from it, and at least go for the PSA brand buffer tube and stock. I had a Blackhawk and couldn't get the stock to go on the tube right. I sent it back and got the PSA name brand for a few bucks more.

Any idea how good the PSA "classic LPK" is? I paid over 60 for a CMMG LPK a couple of weeks ago.

I went with CMMG also. On its way from Midway. I don't expect to be disappointed, those are well reviewed.

I'm doing a pistol build. Still need a pistol buffer, and complete pistol/SBR upper.

You think that sucks, it's $30 shipping for two. They charged me that much to ship a full upper.

Good to hear the PSA LPK are good. I'm always leary of these deals that look too good to be true.

And $45 for three. That's nuts. Idk if I am gonna get three with almost $50 shipping.

I ordered 4, even with the $60 shipping. The shipping was still cheaper than a single LPK and even if the triggers suck they are easy enough to work,

The triggers don't suck, they're just regular Mil-Spec fcgs just like those on most factory rifles. That means a pretty heavy trigger pull and a good deal of grit. I took a flyer on the ALG QMS (Quality Mil-Spec), which is basically just a regular trigger with the mating surfaces already honed. Mine breaks at about 5.0 - 5.5 (my estimate), still no match trigger, but no grit and a nice, clean break.

Still, that's only $115 to the door (well to the FFL's door). The PSA classic LPK is $60. So you get a lower for $55. Still good considering I recently paid $160 and $245 for stripped lowers locally, without LPKs.

At this price, paying $400 for a dedicated .22 upper just got more cost effective.

Yhea there stuff is good but I don't lime there shipping prices, they heard from me when they sent my uppers and lower parts kits in separate boxes and charged individual shippeng prices, could have put them in same box and charge a little extra on the weight, starting to think they are making a profit on the shipping, especially on stripped lowers when one box would be one price to ship with like 10 inside.

No doubt in my mind the do. All of these big houses do. You think with the volume of shipping they do, they don't get special rates from UPS and Fedex. It really erks me with a regular purchase, but with a good deal like this, I'm not going to sweat it too much. I just look at the final cost per item and if that is acceptable, I pull the trigger.

I'm just glad I only paid $250 for my CMMG stripped lower during full on panic mode.

That was a fair price then (probably a good deal even, poly lowers were going for that). If the federal gun banning legislation would have had legs they would be selling for 3 times that now.
