MSI is wrong in that employment is not needed. Question 25 clearly states to use the continuation sheet AKA page 10 to list past employment for 5 years and must include the information I copied in bold.

According to the "app guide" provided by MSI, employment history is only required for those seeking permits on behalf of work related reasons like security guards etc.

If you look at the example app, you, as a citizen application for self defense purposes, do not have to provide who you work for, though alot of us did on page 7. According to the "app guide", unless you answered YES to one of the questions on page 7 or have to provide additional info from anything on page 5-9, page 10 should not be needed. My only "YES" answer was on page 7, required I attach my DD214 since I did serve in the military.

I am not an application expert, only going off what was provided from MSI. I hear what you are saying about how the question 25 is worded, but since I have been with the same emplyer for 10 years, I added nothing on page 10 since I filled out my employer up in the top of page 7 and it hasn't changed. We'll see! The MD app is less than logical and intuitive for sure.

I hope that failing to follow the directions on page 7 and using the guidance from MSI won't cause your app to be considered incomplete. As you can see from the link on the app it does ask for your employer, but there is no place on page 7 to write the things I have listed in bold. In addition, question 25 clearly says to use the continuation sheet AKA page 10 for this information.

Item 10 and 10A ask for employer but no phone number. Seems like that info is being requested for people who are getting permits for work., but still no request for a phone number that I see even if you are required to list it

Notice the application doesn't state "previous"

It may be hard to read but question 9 asks for your occupation. Question 10 asks for employer/agency. If you no agency number then agency license# is answered by N/A. Question 10A asks for address of employer. So it's pretty clear to me they want to know who you are currently working for. The one thing missing from these questions is the phone number of your employer. This itself does make it tougher for MSP to contact your current employer.

I see the ambiguity I gotta say I read the form as asking for employment info for the last five years, including one's present employer and answered accordingly

The only employer contact phone number they ask for is for past employers, but clearly they ask for current occupation, current employer name, and address.

if it help i put N/A in the employer/agency and listed all my employers on page 10 and they accepted it. In my eyes that all good for me.

The sad part is that they have been contacting past employers. My problem with this is it is like contacting exgirlfriends or exwives. How many of the ex's will be honest and not mad that they are Ex's

But if you've been with the same job for more than 5 years...and have no arrest record...and have no denial/revocations of carry permits...Page 10 would be blank.

The only thing I would have use of Page 10 is that I work a part time job (also been longer than 5 yrs) in addition to my full time job...and I would list that on there.

Yes, but all of the employment questions should be answered on page 7 spot 4,10,25. Using page 10 for spot 25 from page 7.
