freestate, where customers are treated like friends:thumbsup:

take the freestate challenge, go to CA hang out and shoot, then do the same at freestate. see for yourself which has the better atmosphere and facilities.

When I go to shoot, I don't hang out. I Eat before I go, then I'm like the Panda who eats, shoots, and leaves.

Wow, the whole place, every employee...that's just amazing. Must be something in the water out there.:D[/QUOTE

No, just something in the owners mindset that would allow a bad reputation to continue by allowing his employees to treat customers like crap. Yeah, that is amazing. It's also f*cking stupid.

i'm talking about the friendly smile and "hi how may i help you?" when you walk up to the counter. i don't eat or shoot pool but its nice to feel like your welcome in someones house rather than treated like a dumb sheep.

btw i like the panda eating chutes and leaves pretty clever:thumbsup:

A panda walks into a cafe. Orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.
"Why?" asks the confused waiter. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and says "Look it up."
The waiter thumbs through the book and finds
"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

It's actually from a book by Lynne Truss called "Eats, Shoots and Leaves."
"The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation."

Should be required reading for all Internet writers (and others).

Been there several times over the last month. Haven't seen the "roadie" and have been treated professionally each time.

I think things have changed for the better!

Remodeling at On Target and the new Freestate range has made them step up...cool, everyone wins.

Has nothing to do with that. Fact is Trane moved out of the space next to them, its something they had been waiting for.

I think people will be impressed with the new store front once its opened. I've even kicked around the idea of going back there to work.

I'm sure the haters will still hate though.

I walked though on the way to where they are setting up the area for safe sales and I was impressed.

For the haters...it's like a second hobby.

Called that one, haters will hate.

Before you run your mouth more, wash the sand from your vagina and try dealing with the idiots that walk in there on an average Saturday. Yes, I said idiots. Spend a few years around people who don't belong walking free that lie to your face and tune you out as soon as you start talking about safety. Most of them already know everything, yet can't load mags or hit a target at 21 feet. They have no idea about muzzle or trigger discipline. Having some tool sweep you and the entire firing line will put you in a shitty mood. You would be surprised how many times that happens on a weekend.

That said, there are people there that are ignorant from the word go, that is regretful. But finding honest pros willing to put up with the day to day shit at a public range isn't easy. I usually waited until the customer gave me a good reason to be a dick, much like this thread. I'm sure some have called me a range Nazi, a dick and an *******, so that's nothing new. Chances are they were to stupid to read and follow the range rules they supposedly read and then signed which turned me into one of the above.

I left there about 2 years ago, threads like this make me want to return to help straighten the reputation. Jerks like you are far to common & make me glad I'm not working there currently.

Have a nice life, keep on hating.

    Edit:
I use to go out of my way to support this forum and members when I worked there. That level of support dropped slowly as the signal to noise ratio around here got higher and higher.

    Holding the line in Baltimore
Been there a bunch of times recently. Ziggy (aka "The Roadie") is still there as are many of the other employees I've come to recognize. But lots of friendly new faces and they do seem to be trying a little harder these days to staff up and provide better service.

As JeepDriver said there are idiots that shoot the wires down, shoot the ceiling baffles or the floor, or generally don't handle their guns safely. Those are the ones that get tapped on the shoulder by the RO and they usually respond by being confrontational about what they did. One guy was informed he'd be charged $25 for the downed wire and angrily proceeded to shoot another one down before he left. I kind of take it for granted that any time an RO comes over they will be on edge but I've never seen them be impolite.

    1) I have dealt with such idiots in that same environment.
    2) I have dealt with idiots like you as a customer.
    3) The only hate here is coming from you, so it's obvious YOU are the sensitive one and need a vaginal cleansing.

Oh, and knock off the woe is me crap, and find another line of work that doesn't involve the public. Do us all a favor.
