Might be going to the National Gun show on Sat the 26th. Looking for AR15 parts, barrels, uppers, lower parts kits, etc. Ammo as well. Might be able to hook up for the ride down.

Anyone even bothering to go to upper malboro tomorrow? I keep saying no but then say what the hell supporting gunshows is a good thing. Even if it is Silverado.

Y'all come by and see me at the MCSM table. I volunteered to take turn helping Bob pass out literature.

BTW, I think he still needs volunteers for Sunday for a few hours.

Always wondered something. When is the best time to go to a show for deals?

What I mean is are the dealers wanting to cut deals early like on Friday or Saturday morning, or, do they get wore down by Sunday and make deals they normally wouldnt so as not to haul everything back to their vehicle?

    Speaking of ammo and accessories.

As if gun shop commandos weren't bad enough, I went to the gun show today. Ho-Lee-crap. I went looking for chem lights and handgun racks for my safe. LOTS of CMP Rack Grades going for $1100+, quite a few Bushmaster HBARS for not so bad. MSARs for $2200+, Sig 556 SWAT for $1750. Every kind of jerky and chicom sword you could imagine.

AR part prices were crazy...DPMS lowers for $180, LMT "machined billet" lowers (they must be, the guy said so) for $499, and CMMG "cast" lowers (same dealer.) for $289. This was one of the more reputable dealers (White Marsh, which surprised me). Another one was trying really hard to sell a used 10/22 for $250 by telling the prospective buyer that the 10/22 was the CIA's top choice for assassinations. Another dealer when asked what the magazine laws were in MD replied "none"

The DC Thug crowd was out in force, buyin' up beamz and cheap stun guns err..gunz (gotta keep it real) like they were going to ban them.

I found a new place that was promising as well as a little . because they had complete LRB AR's for $750 (or was it $825). I wasn't aware they made complete rifles. When I asked what barrels and uppers they used the young guy said "Wilson Combat". However, they had some really nice Garands and Carbines, and their prices were quite good www.jamesriverarmory.com

Not a single chem light to be found

I think I'll stick to the EE on ARFCOM and here.

Dude....you walked right past me and didn't even see my big ass standing there? :lol2:

I was working the MCSM booth.

Horrible show....just ****ing horrible. If I hadn't gotten in for free for working the booth I would have been offended at paying to get into that horrible excuse of a show. The only thing I could find worthwhile were some targets from my man TopHat.

I went up to that table at about 12:45 and the guy there if he was norton from MDshooters.com but he wasn't so you might have stepped out by then. But anyway it was kind of a small show this time not that many people there and there was a lot of floor space left. But I did get a what seems to be an unfired norinco sks for 210:cool: but I did pass up an SVT40 for 495 which I think has some missmatched numbers and a new production mag:( thinking back on it that was a good price for an svt40 even it was a little missmatched.

I think I was down on the floor then. If you talked to the 50-something guy with the full beard, that wasn't me. I would have been pretty hard to miss me with my 6'7" self :D

I had my black MDShooters shirt on.

    Sorry I missed you.

I think I bought some gold-plated XM193...must've been for the price. My wife bought me some stripper clips...what a great gal.;) If you were there, I was the 6'-2", dark haired, goatee sporting, mess with the Magpul shirt on.

I got there this morning at about 10:30. I was looking for 1911 parts, and I couldn't find crap. On the way in I picked up a Russian SKS for $150 from a guy walking around so it wasn't a total washout for me.

    Horrible show!
I wanted to buy some GP-11 for my k31 but the guy wanted $60 a brick:sad20:.
Also wanted to buy some dies and a tumbler, not a single one of either in the place. They call that a gun show? sad.

Oh yeah, I did buy a VERY bad hotdog $3.75 I think and a $2.25 bottle of water.
    Never again.
Really wasn't much of anything there.
