Well if you're in Maryland you can't buy either now, unless I'm wrong. Maybe the HBAR is sill legal. I don't know, I'm not interesting in buying any new regulated guns as long as I live in MD, the can shove their HQL up their collective statist asses.

But to your original question OP, both guns are good. Less recoil on the AR-15/M-16 for sure though.

I love pop tarts and I was wondering which pepper was hotter the jalapeno or thai chili pepper? Mainly the kick! :)

Dude! Sorry for the shenanigans but, this topic has been beat to death on every gun forum on the internet. A Google search can be your friend in these cases. But, I think the AK wins in the recoil battle. (As in "more" recoil")

During the dry season, Thai chili peppers can get extremely spicy. I remember eating at a Thai restaurant across from the University of Baltimore back in the 90's and our favorite waiter would tell us that while 4 star spicy is the hottest on the menu, you can get 7 star spicy during the right season, but that is reserved for the Thai that can handle it.

My buddies and I got 3 stars once and had a race to see who could get it down the fastest before class. I won, and then I lost. Spent the entire domestic law class in the restroom. Then, I was scared to drive the 50 minutes to get back home.

    What was the OP's question?

Hi Roger, everyone's got to start somewhere. It really boils down to personal preference.

    AR platform:
    1.) less recoil
2.) smaller, higher velocity, longer reaching, higher cost bullets
    3.) slightly more accurate
    4.) more customizable
5.) currently illegal to buy in Md. except in HBAR(heavy barrel)

    AK platform:
    1.) a little more recoil
2.) bigger, slower, harder hitting, cheaper bullets
3.) currently illegal to purchase in Md.
4.) is considered to be a more rugged weapon by most

This is one of the most argued discussions in the firearms culture. If not the most.
So again, it's up to your preference.

    Back in MD sadly
If that's the case, it will have to be a Sig.
