    Hi all,

I'm in the process of planning a May camping trip for my church's college group.

Ideally, I'd like to select a place where we can: camp with showers and working toilets, shoot, do some fishing and some mountain biking.

I realize that's a tall order. I'm open to going up to 3 1/2 hours from DC.

    So far, I've considered:

Green Ridge State Forest, but they have no showers.

Camping at New Germany State Park, and shooting/biking at nearby Savage River

Camping at Elk Neck, and biking at nearby (or is it?) Fair Hill

    Any other suggestions?

The Battlefield campsite in Gettysburg, near the helicopter place, has working showers/toilets etc. and a nice little camping facility. They have a small lake on property that I saw some youngers fishing in. Not sure if there is actually any fish though. Being in PA, I am sure there is somewhere near by to shoot at, or better fishing etc. and would provide for some good history while you are teaching the youngsters and ways of the .22 :)

    Edit to add:
MarkNakasone and I both went to Treasure Island when we were in the scouts. .22 shooting/shotgun shooting, as well as numerous other activities. It is an island, so I am sure there is some fishing there :)

We like The Cove in Gore, VA.
    Great camping, fishing, hiking, biking...
and most importantly, a 100 yard open range. shoot anything you want.
