I have an 1887 Winchester 12 gauge that I have owned 40 years and was given to me by my Granddad. I want to find out what it is worth so I can sell it. Any help would be appreciated. I will have her on hand at the Fredericksburg gun show June 29-30

Thanks for the reply. As far as I know it is completely original. The only thing I have ever done to it is clean her and lube her regularly.

Wow! My great grandfather had one. He got it from his father in law, who bought it new before 1900. Wish I had it today...

When I first looked at your post I was pretty tired. Looking at my OLD 2008 Blue Book.... 100% is $3500, 95 = 3,000, 90 = 2700 ect ect. Can't tell what yours is but even at 90% that should buy some bacon or a pair of shoes for the dogs.

Thanks bunches for all the great inputs. There is a gunshow in Fredericksburg last weekend in June so I will be taking her over there for some show time and hopefully find a buyer. I cannot yet post it on MDS because of my low post count. (must be 50)

That's OK, we're all poverty striken anyway. :)

    Where they send me.
To get max value I think I would put it on an auction site with a ton of very good pics. Then, it only takes 2 guys to get into a bidding war for you to get max value. Also, if it is as nice as it looks you'll get closer to the true value that way.
