What is the most affordable FFL dealer to get a handgun transfer?

In MoCo I found United Gun Shop in Rockville/North Bethesda a decent price. Might find cheaper individual in the sticks, but then your time and gas money need to be taken into account.

That, and the kind of service I get.

My go-to place for a bit was Field Traders in Pasadena, but they closed up shop. I liked going there - the staff was always super friendly to me and knowledgeable, and for that alone I'd spend a bit extra on a transfer for no more often than I do transfers.

I don't currently have a place - I'll have to check out a couple of places to see if I can find a good fit.

+1. The Tyler guys are great! And it’s only $15 for in store transfers.

United charges $40 but may fat finger the transfer depending on who helps you.

I get it , we hate to pay extra $ . But travel distance and time quickly eat up minor differences in direct cost .

Excepting the handfull of places with stupid expensive fees intended to discourage any transfers , a $10 or $15 difference is less important than distance and good service .

( Under $40 is cheap . $ 40-50 is mainstream . Over $50 is degrees of expensive .)

No point putting a value on a transfer without first putting a value on your time, the vehicle wear and tear, and fuel. A few bucks' difference is utterly meaningless in that context when we're talking about schlepping to an FFL in the hinterlands (assuming you don't already live in the same hinterlands).
