So if I understand this correctly my upper needs to be 14.5 with pinned welded flash to make it 16. Anything shorter I need to pay atf?

Now, let me say one more thing: you're better off with a 16" barrel than a 14.5" barrel with pinned FH from a ballistics point of view, and the length difference is pretty minimal. (Plus, extra-long FHs are fugly, but I suppose that's subjective.)

I love my 14.5's. The a2x looks good i think and the fsc556 looks natural(natural as in a mystical beastly creature of destruction)

Theres say that shorter barrels are more accurate but the lower pressures can be a drawback further out. I did alot of research when deciding on my 14.5 but i dont really remember all of the details behind it.

YHM Phantom 28a makes a 14.5 long enough. Looks nifty and dangerous too.

Z28's got the idea. If you do carbine length gas system, 14.5 is perfect. Hell i even did 14.5 with my mid. But mids are good in 16" as well.

Steyr is fun, but the PS90 definitely would be the first on my bullpup list if I was looking at bullpups.

Had a MSAR/AUG Clone put a piece of brass right into my lip, so the FN may get some preference...
