Opps, my bad. I forgot you are using .177. The numbers I gave you were for .22. However, I don't see why JSB's would do the same for the .177.

This will take you to Pyramid Air's JSB page. I suggest you try the Exact 8.4 grains and the Exact Heavy at 10.34. Just shoot for groups first so you don't knock your sights out for a pellet that won't work for you. In case you don't know about Pyramidair, if you buy 3 tins of ammo, the 4th is free. It's mix or match and the cheapest that you pick is the free one.

Alrighty, have a tin of JSB Exacts coming in the 8.4 and 10.34 range. Also two more tins of that ‘Cuda Match. All in the 4.52 range. Thanks brother! Once my food arrives (next week or so) I can get back to chootin’!

Keep us advised. One other thing I forgot to mention is pellet lubrication. While I don't wash my pellets, I do lube them with a non petroleum lube. I do this by whetting the sponges in an old, large pellet can and tumbling the pellets around by hand a few turns. In my opinion, this allows for more shooting between cleanings.

Cleanings ruin accuracy more than shooting ever does.

I hear that! I shot through that 400 count tin. I gave it a clean yesterday and spat out ten pellets before it settled back down. The final six seemed to be doing what I was looking for. At least the barrel will be shooting ready when the new 4.52’s arrive! I’ll keep y’all in the loop with how they do. Thanks again so much for the recommendation!!

Sure ‘nuff! My pellets came in today, and they fit much better. My gun prefers .178 pellets which is good to know! I ordered another 800 (2 tins) of the Barracuda Match (4.52) and 500ea of some JSB Exacts in two different grains both 4.52 as well.

Excited to see how they group! Later this week, shooting will resume!

Be glad that covid is gone. It took months to get pellets then and they would only sell you 500!

My brother, on so many levels am I glad that ridiculousness has all but ceased. I wish certain fields would return to a level of (work) ethic as seen prior…just makes my work security all that my secured though. And then I can buy pellets in the 500+ ct when the hell I want to!

I wish I was young enough to enjoy well made springers like I used to. Glad you are having fun in the heat.

Yeah man I can’t wait for it to cool down. It’s about enough to bear with the umbrella up these days though so that’s good!

They make some damn fine air powered guns! I’m more of a traditional guy though. And for now, breaking the barrel isn’t an issue!

Driving home to South Cackalackie from some Harper's Ferry campin. We were right on the river and I had my air rifle. Big hit in camp. Shooting at rocks 130-150 yards away. See the splash, make hold adjustments. Man. That little .177 sure is impressive. Drilling a 1 foot rock from that distance was repeatable as long as we maintained out crazy hold over. Fun watching with binos. Name of the game was shooting both eyes open so you could still the small exposed portion of rock in the sunshine.
