I am kicking myself in the butt for for ever letting this go. Some years ago I had a bunch of weapons that I got after my Dad died. These had been in the family since I was a kid and I was familiar with shooting all of them.

Now being in Maryland and in a more urban environment, I wasn't sure I needed all the rifles and older revolvers. I had a friend who I worked with from western PA (Johnstown) who offered to take some of the weapons to his hometown shop. This is where I kick myself. I had no idea he would just take the weapons and sell them to the shop for whatever they wanted to give him. I was furious! In nothing flat, I lost my Dad's custom 7mm Mauser with mannlicher stock and scope, and a great 6.5X55 M38 Swede Mauser with mannlicher stock and open Williams sights. When he came back from the weekend with the little bit of cash, I was pissed! I immediately asked him to call the shop to get them back. Needless to say, he said they had already been sold. WTF.

So now I would love to find another Mauser M38 Swede with a mannlicher stock sporterized, or just a nice sporterized M38. I do not need a military model, just a nice clean sporterized M38.

Does anyone know of any shops that might have one?

Any suggestions or ideas would be very welcome.

    Thanks.

I've got a really nice one I was trying to sell but it isn't sporterized. I don't see too many Swedes around that are these days. Mine is professionally set up for a scope though. Its tapped and the bolt is nicely turned up. Other than that its stock.

Numbers matching on all the numbered parts. Shoots very good groups at 100 yards. Nice trigger and the wood is all original. 300$
