Mine is mounted with a Burris PEPR non-QD mount.

I also got a SWFA SSALT mount (you can buy as a package) that is very similar to the PEPR.

I have one that is mounted on an AR308 with a QD PEPR mount, works great. I have another AR setup with the PEPR QD as well that has worked flawlessly for a good while now. Good mount for the $$. It's not a LaRue, but it costs less than half too...

How does the crossfire compare to the strike eagle? (is it the crossfire II 1-4?)

SE is larger, I can't tell a difference in the glass (both are bright), having shot the 1-4 quite a bit the 1 - 6 is nice!, yes Crossfire II. reticle is etched black, I did not turn on the light and felt comfortable with the line thickness. I feel a need for a throw lever? for quicker if not just easier power adjusting.
I am not an expert and most of my shooting is within 100 yds. Nate is the one who mentioned the size and I am thinking he has more experience than I, Talk to him @ Engage, they may be on sale this weekend.??
