Thanks, You know I'm not sure. I'm very new to AKs...From what I've learned from Internet AK Gurus..is that this particular model is somewhat rare. My rifle was produced in 2005 and I bought it in April of this year. The SA M7 Classics were made from all new unissued parts from Bulgaria and assembled here in the US. Again this is what I've been told and I believe the source.

I don't know much about AK's, there are 3 billion varieties but they all look the same to me. Yours in particular looks absolutely amazing.
