Does it count as a "warning shot" if I miss but I was INTENDING to shoot the tresspasser??

I am liable to fall back on military training and the Geneva convention as my ROE!

wait, double barrel joe's self defense advice gets another citizen in trouble???

I REALLY hope his lawyer makes that part of the defense, not truly relying on it in any way, but arguing it just to drag Biden into it to give him a black eye for his stupidity.

The guy left his apartment and went out on patrol looking for the bad guy who starting walking away after he saw the vet. The vet fired a warning shot to try and make him stop. I think the vet screwed up if that's how it went down.

That's the way I'm reading it.

And, I guess I'm a little confused why we are referring to the guy as a "vet", respectfully,.....whats the difference? Makes no difference really to me or the law. If you are shooting at people who are actively fleeing, and they aren't even carrying away your TV? You're doing it wrong.

And respectfully, if you're looking too hard for someone that fired a shot at a known bad guy, you're doing it wrong.

    Been there. Didn't do that.

Still, a ball bat is cleaner. We high five citizens that use those on a burglar.
