The High Standard followed me home...I don't know how that happened. Somebody said $160. Then I said - sold. Brutus isn't the only thing to be careful of when you visit Engage.
Anyhow, it turns out to be a considerably nicer shotgun than anybody should really expect to get for $160. The action is butter smooth - it will literally open itself if you release the catch and stand the gun upright. Fixed, modified choke, 28" barrel, vented rib, tight grained, checkered walnut stock, double extractors. Old girl has some wear, but we are about the same age, and I'd say she probably looks better than me.
I feel bad for whoever lost her, but she is going to be breaking some clays on the trap range this spring.
