I don't need anything additional, but with Obama being re-elected, who knows what's going to happen in the next four years.

Below is my current list, which I think is pretty well rounded, but maybe there are some holes I need to fill in. I'm thinking another pistol maybe (S&W M&P, Sig P2022, etc) or another shotgun (home defense or a Baikal IZH-27 for skeet/trap). Basically, I'm getting my paycheck tomorrow, help me spend it.

Two DPMS AR-15s, one scoped, one with a red dot
    Springfield XDM9
    Browning Buckmark Standard URX
    S&W Bodyguard 38
    Remington 870 28" barrel
    Weatherby SA-08 28" barrel
    91/30 Mosin Nagant
    M44 Mosin Nagant
    S&W M&P 15-22

Besides the ARs on your list, I see no reason to run out and buy any of the others right away. I suggest stocking up on ammo. If the administration tries any executive order or department regulation shenanigans, expect ARs and ammo to be targeted first and their prices to shoot up.

I think you have put together a well thought out collection. The only areas I would look to "Beef Up" would be a larger caliber handgun, and a long range rifle chambered in more readily accessible round. While I think the Baikal is a great value gun, why not use the Weatherby for Trap?. Anyway good luck on adding to your collection.

If that was my list (assuming of course I owned any guns!), I would make sure of having enough magazines for the handguns and ARs, and look at something in a mid-caliber "hunting rifle" (.270, .308, .30-06)

Buying additional ammo is a given and I'm going to be stocking up mostly on 9MM, .223/5.56, 12 gauge and .22. Good suggestions on additional magazines. I've got probably 6 or 7 20/30 round PMAGS for the ARs, but only 3 magazines for the XDM.

I was also maybe considering a Keltec Sub 2000 in 9MM just to have a pistol caliber carbine on hand, especially one that will fit into a backpack.

While I think the Baikal is a great value gun, why not use the Weatherby for Trap?

I do use the Weatherby and it's great, but I'm tired of chasing shells all over the skeet field. I'm jealous of the O/U guys that can just remove their shells quickly and cleanly.

I think some of the other comments were spot on. Here would be my order of purchase:

    1) Get your 20-rd 5.56 magazines up to a total of 10.
    2) Go out of state and get yourself 4-5 30-rd mags(i prefer magpul).
    3) Get your primary carry gun up to 5-6 magazines.
    4) I would suggest a long range rifle, 7mm Rem Mag or .270. I have both but i prefer my savage .270 WSM.
    5) Splurge on a good optic for that Long Rifle. I LOVE Redfield for their clarity, durability, and light allowance.
    6) Get a few thousand rounds as "target plink" and a few defense rounds.

BTW - I went out Wednesday after the election and put my money into a LE trade in HK USP .40. I had the same notion that i may need to get something.

As someone with rather little experience with rifles, could someone elaborate on what is a good long range rifle? Currently I just have my .22lr mauser, and have an M1 on order from CMP. If I was to get another centerfire rifle I was thinking about a remington 700 in .308 for practicing distance accuracy. Does 7mm or .270 carry an advantage over .308?

You're missing a good multipurpose bolt action rifle. Savage 10, Remington 700 in .308 does almost anything from hunting to long range precision on paper while being very reliable and with many different ways to accessorize.

I might get flamed, but I think .308 is a better overall choice for availability, price per round at retail while packing as much punch as you need to hunt almost anything in the world. I keep a Savage 10FCP in .308 with a heavy fluted 24" barrel and a Bushnell Elite 4-16x40 scope in my collection. Sitting at a bench at AGC (no rest or bipod used) I can do groups of less than 1/2" at 100yds. It's one of the best value long range rifles out there.

Since you have an M1 on order, consider a 30-06 bolt gun. You can't shoot commercial ammo in the M1, but you can shoot the '06 ammo for the M1 in the bolt gun. There are threads all over the net about .308 vs. 30-06, but ammo commonality might tip the scales toward an '06.

Id quadruple the mag numbers and invert the ratio of 20s to 30s.
