My dad stored this gun for awhile and then I stored it for awhile... and here it is 20 years later, still stored "new" in the box.

Even though it is a replica and a handgun, it isn't regulated because it is a cap and ball black powder revolver, right?

I'm considering how much of a hassel it would be to sell it.

You can sell it mail order to an eight year old girl.

Except in places like New Jersey or Manitoba- some localities are a bit whacked out. But neither the Federal Government nor the State of Maryland consider that to be a firearm at all.

Thanks, but I don't think I'll sell it to an eight year old girl, mail order or not.

    Thanks though!

I'm not sure what a reasonable price is for it. Searching I found one that had been bid up to about $75 - well used condition - with a day to go on it. I might see what that goes for and put it in the classifieds after that.

It's a handsome revolver, all things considered. Connecticut Valley Arms doesn't import them any more, which means some collector value. They are above average quality. New Pietta brass frame Remingtons are $150. For these reasons, if I were selling it on Auction Arms or Gunbroker, I'd start the bidding at $175.00.

Woah, I didn't offer anything, I said "If I were selling it..."

And is this an auction right here? Are these serious bids? Isn't that why we have a Classified section?

The OP is watching an auction online where the current bid is $75 and a day to go to gain pricing info.

After that, he might offer the pistol here.
