It's mid 90s here today, and below 60% humidity, so I threw some Alumahyde II on this guy. I know, I know, the markings are EXTREMELY shallow, but meh.

Two images, slightly different DOF on each so you can see how bad the engraving is. I'm half tempted to lay a bead down on it to make it look like a reweld.

You may be able to color fill it, but never tried that with alumahyde. It works on cerakote really well tho... ;)

Someone else suggested that it looks like a depot re-anodize.

Since it's alumahyde, I'm going to have to leave it alone for a week to cure, lol. It's in the gun closet now.

Not widely publicized, but the Baton Rouge cop killer went with a Tavor first, then was picked off by SWAT returning for a STAG AR in his car trunk.

Blood still visible on the Tavor stock, a first in this thread, I believe.

Pardon the off-topic, but that Tavor looks awesome. Love the Manticore Arms handguard. How'd you get past the 29" OAL with the A2 birdcage? I'd love to pick up one of those rifles but the ugly slotted compensator they ship with welded on from the factory is a dealbreaker to me.

That Scarcqb Tavor has to be SBR because even the pre-2013 legal 16"" barrel Tavors had at least 2 inches of barrel visible in front of the fore grip.

    I added:

    Magpul stock, grip, trigger guard
    Geissele SSA-E trigger
DPMS rear sight and Truglo front sight, both from the spare parts box (didn't want to buy anything because I'm probably going to change the front.)
    Gunfighter ambi charging handle
    Norgon Ambi-catch
    1/2 dozen mags
Lantac Dragon brake on its way

I'll eventually change the front to a free float; probably a Lancer carbon fiber, I think.

I guess I can see your point. Having said that, if it came to a time where this would happen, Sh*t really has hit the fan and my online pictures are probably the least of my concerns.

    Agree with this

Yes. For things in this thread that were purchased and not manufactured, .gov already knows and can easily compile lists. I have seen local pd with the help of MSP create a list of people in a particular area owning a firearm using a specific caliber. They didn't get it from here.

I should say things that MSP gets paperwork on. Who am I kidding, probably any purchase.

Acquired the Tavor before the ban. Paid rape pricing for it too. Lol
