All of my ARs are nice, but they are fairly standard. This one however has been a long time in the making, just finished tonight, and I'm pretty excited about it. Let the load workups begin! :party29:

Seekins billet lower (from the GB)
    Geissele SSA-E FCG
Precision Firearms 23" .223 Wylde upper
    Magpul PRS stock
    Atlas bipod and monopod

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, photography is not one of my hobbies.

How do you like the PRS?

I haven't taken it to the range yet, so I can only give my initial impressions. It's built solidly, and I find the comb comfortable for my cheek weld. The range of adjustment isn't huge (what you see in the picture is about the max) but it's good for fine tuning. I like integral rail for the monopod, but if you don't want to run one, the cover for the rail makes a convenient place to grip, or you can run a rear bag.

The only thing that I can think of that I will have to experiment with is the texture of the comb. The stock is made from that smooth Magpul poylmer, and I can see it being slippery if you are shooting on a hot day and sweating on the comb. Since we are having perfect weather for sweating, I'll have to try and get it out sometime in the next week or two and see if I have a hard time maintaining a solid cheek weld.

Due to the ergos of the AR I have found that I haven't really had an need to use the adjustable comb on my PRS.

    Which SWFA scope is that?

I don't really need the comb adjustment either, I just had all of the moving parts fully extended to see what the limits were.

The scope is a SWFA SS HD 5-20x50.

My new AR - just picked it up today. I'm not a rifle girl, but I really liked our friend's AR and this is set up much the same way, with his advice on what to get.

    20" Wilson Arms A-1 profile barrel, 5.56 chamber, 1-9 twist, Mil-Spec Parkerized.
AP Customs ventilated free float Carbon fiber handguard
YHM hooded flip up front sight
    YHM Phantom flash hider
    Rock River Arms Operator buttstock
Aero Precision Mil-spec lower w/Magpul parts kit
    Ambi safety, single-stage trigger.

Leupold VX-2 2-7x33mm Matte Black, duplex reticle

Burris Extreme Tactical 1" ring pair, low

Took it shooting this evening. Took 3 rds to sight in at 25 yds, another 4 at 100. And that's with me shooting (remember, not a rifle girl), wearing glasses instead of contacts, sweating my frickin' butt off and having had 3 cups of coffee today (oops). I love this gun.

That 3x magnifier looks awfully familiar for some reason... :innocent0

Glad to see it being put to good use.
